Is that a dig at the ex servicemen who were pensioners also guarding them who probably had no allegiance to the far right but just wanted to protect them ?

Truss is by far the worst Foreign Secretary in my lifetime.

She is dangerously bad at her job. I am not a Conservative but from what I've seen Ben Wallace would have been a much better choice, and Tobias Ellwood would also make a good Defence Minister.

I genuinely believe Boris is surrounding himself with dullards in order that he diesn't have any credible rivals for the PM position.

Truss is hopeless just look at her trade deals...

But please do remember Johnson was Foreign Secretary.

I was always sure there would be a good number going, but the UK Foreign Secretary should not be saying there is no problem for anyone from the UK joining the fight, when it is technically illegal to do so.

Imagine British ex-servicemen being captured by Russian troops. What a propaganda victory for Putin, who would instantly claim that it proved NATO forces were secretly getting involved.

You have misjudged the mood badly, this time. Again

He and a small handful of similar posters (we all know who they are), do not fare well on the Big Board. Whenever they creep out of the Bear Pit and attempt their base trolling on serious threads it almost always ends up in their banning. Which they then blame on the “lefty mods”.

With the strange exception of allowing an overt racist and homophobe to continue to post, the mods do a good job yet get constant trolling from two or three posters on here.

As for the relevance of a Liz Truss thread? Despite her being wholly unqualified and ineffectual at her role, she is the Foreign Secretary at a time when there is war in Europe. Of course she’s relevant.

If certain posters don’t like her getting a drubbing, they are free to post positive comments about her. As long as they are factually correct, it’s their thread as much as anyone’s. They won’t. Those posters are not here to defend Truss, they are here to start binfests. To them I say this;

It is not the time. It is not the place. Grow up or go back to the Bear Pit. Your trolling is not appropriate.
