That’s been decided has it? I rather got the impression RDZ wanted him for the first team this season, after some initial training.

You haven't been reading much, academy? Don't think so

Eh? This is a player who has been playing for a top level Argentinian team. He’ll be first team squad and will get his debut before the end of the season.

I couldn't remember the date he signed so went a-googling and that is how he is described on his wikipedia page/the blurb that comes up on the google results page.

Shit happens, I am not sure it is as cut and dried as these rumours and tittle tattle suggest.

Hopefully a move is quick and everyone can move on.

Been a great player for us and we should thank him for his contributions.

Cheers Tross, sorry it didn't work out.

Unless I've missed something, you must be referring to buonanotte who we agreed a deal for in November, took effect on January 1st and is expected to go into the academy, rather than a first team. Plus, my post was meant to be a tongue in cheek example of the panicky rants we'll see if we lose tomorrow rather than an accurate reflection of reality.

I'm very much of the opinion that if a player doesn't want to be here anymore then they can go, our recruitment team have worked wonders and will (hopefully) replace him. If he does go in Jan, getting an out and out number 9 is a must. The midfield have provided an incredible number of goals this season, but we do need someone who can grab 15 a season if we want to secure top 10 and push on for a Europa Conference place

Has he gone yet? Can't be arsed to read multiple pages of 'will he, won't he?'

Make me laugh that, according to our Swedish Potter-botherer with a pizza fetish - nothing interesting EVER happens at a press conference and they are a waste of time. And yet today's seems to have ignited the transfer fuse 🤣

Argentinan League is ranked below the Scottish, Dutch, Danish, our Championship, the Mexican etc etc.
We are a top half team in the strongest league in the World. He isn't walking into the match day squad, especially as he is just about to return to S America.

"nothing interesting EVER hairband at a press conference".................... contender for NSC quote of the year?

I can't believe all the "get rid". You can't seriously believe we are better off selling him, he is our highest goalscorer this season. I hope he sees the error of his ways, apologises and knuckles down and we see the old Leo again. We are a better side with him in our team for sure. I don't think he will do this but lets not kid ourselves that we are better off getting rid of him. I suspect we now won't get that big fee as a result of all this.
So what’s the alternative, pay him to sulk his way round Lancing without getting anywhere near the pitch? His purple patch is clearly over, and we really have not missed him since he downed tools.

No dickheads.

the athletic now mentioning an 'altercation' with a teammate? ???

Keep up. This was referred to in the agent's message, prior to 5pm.

I stand by my assertion that he’ll make his first team debut by the end of the season.

Anyway, I think that Leo has caused a few tensions within the first team squad by focusing on his own targets rather than the teams.
Welbeck losing his shit with him for not making a simple pass to him when going for goal from an accurate angle recently. He’s definitely been angling for a move this window. Where it all went wrong for him was a lack of game time in the World Cup.

Well that will endear him to potential buyers, running away….

So avoidable, it’s not like we stand in the way of anyone wanting away….

his agent has got in his head, I think personally in a few years he will regret the rocky road this has taken.

it simply did not need to be like this.
