Hard to keep up, I know...
Im simply passing on the news I hoped to see him play against Liverpool and wondered if he will start. Big loss including his goalscoring.

I'm very much of the opinion that if a player doesn't want to be here anymore then they can go, our recruitment team have worked wonders and will (hopefully) replace him. If he does go in Jan, getting an out and out number 9 is a must. The midfield have provided an incredible number of goals this season, but we do need someone who can grab 15 a season if we want to secure top 10 and push on for a Europa Conference place

Well that will endear him to potential buyers, running away….

So avoidable, it’s not like we stand in the way of anyone wanting away….

his agent has got in his head, I think personally in a few years he will regret the rocky road this has taken.

it simply did not need to be like this.

Cucurella flew out to Greece on Boehlys private jet before we had accepted a bid. Unfortunately all the power is with the players

He's not in the squad, so he's gone home for the weekend. Surely that's a normal thing to do.
Normal? When you've been singled out for your work ethic? Normal to leave the country? Having only been back in it for what, a week or two? I'd say if you wanted to sort this out, impress RDZ, you'd be there at the ground tomorrow.

Stupid boy Pike , he needs to take a look at another idiot who took the route he is going down - Bridcutt , oh and his clever mate Buckley . They both went on to super stardom .....oh wait

Back in the day we'd offer to *Drive him to Stoke myself"

Different world now. No-one is offering to but his Eurostar ticket.

Sussex but not by the sea
it was obvious something serious was wrong. He was shocking at Charlton and didn’t look at all bothered, ‘rusty’ I thought, then he wasn’t a lot better at Soton, but then Arsenal - a quite shocking 60 odd minutes, anyone is entitled to be off form but he genuinely looked like he couldn’t be bothered again, I wondered if he might be injured. With RDZ comments (he doesn’t f*** about does he?!) it’s clear he was in fact NOT giving 100%. I now wonder if RDZ continuing to talk about the Charlton game is based on this, he was genuinely angry.

Apparently the Belgium squad was destroyed by division in the squad, Trossard was a part of that squad, he could just be a bit of a prick…..

Must be Friday night drinking thread!!

Not sure that there is any coming back for Trossard which is a great shame as he is a great player and has been for us. I'm a fan of his but the agent's statement is driving a wedge. As for some of the comments, you wonder whether some of them are actually from Brighton fans.

Seem to remember not too long ago another player that was engineering a move to our south coast rivals and was slagged off on here only for there to be a U-turn and loads eating humble pie.

That said, the difference here is the emergence of Mitoma and, to some extent, Ferguson, two positions that Trossards has played. Difficult to gauge exactly what the position is without know what's going on in Trossard's life. Of all our players in Qatar, he probably had by a very long way the worst experience. His country underperformed by a considerable margin and he didn't really get much game time in what will probably be his last world cup.

When he goes, I wish him well. Whilst what has happened isn't great, I certainly don't feel the same about the way this is going and how Cucurrela left!

Yep. Sad end to his spell but we’ll cope. Seems to me he’s been badly advised by a greedy agent. Quell surprise

I can't believe all the "get rid". You can't seriously believe we are better off selling him, he is our highest goalscorer this season. I hope he sees the error of his ways, apologises and knuckles down and we see the old Leo again. We are a better side with him in our team for sure. I don't think he will do this but lets not kid ourselves that we are better off getting rid of him. I suspect we now won't get that big fee as a result of all this.
He has clearly asked for a transfer, his agent has touted him to every club available. He refused to sign the new contract offered to him pre and post WC HE DOESNT WANT TO STAY. So yes we are better off selling him than letting his contract run down to zero.

As long as we can carry on as we are, there is a possible benefit in that it may well have accelerated Fergusons involvement in the first team. There's often some serendipitous advantage to be had in managers partially being forced in bringing through youth. I'm sure Rashford finally being thrown in at the deep end was the result of someone more senior being injured and he went on a mad mini scoring run.

If he does go I hope we spend a bit on a job ready attacker though as im not sure we have enough in the tank if solly or mitoma get injured.

Trossard’s agent Josy Comhair also seems active with young talent.

It's unfortunate to have come to this as neither party wins. We are missing a talented player who has tormented Liverpool and some clubs won't like what he is doing and will think twice.

Muddying the waters.
Maybe RDZ is not explaining fully, because of the language barrier and has to take 10mins to say something which could be normally said in 2mins.

Trossard was never going to sign a new contract with us. He came back from the WC with a shit attitude and is looking to engineer a move away.
Clubs will think they can get him on the cheap. Bloom won’t go with that and may well make an example of him.
I hope a team come in with a decent offer and we can get rid. Shame, as it doesn’t need to be like this. (Bissouma)
He’s a good player but not a regular starter for a top 6 club. He may regret his stance in the future when getting no game time for another club.
