Trossards agent was the one that made it publicNot kept up with the thread in it's entirety, just got to #267 but RZD did just (basically) say 'f**k off if you're going to be a twat' to Trossard. My initial reaction was 'yeah say what you think, it's refreshing' but 5 minutes of reflection has made me think 'don't slag people off in public'.
He an smell that free transfer signing on bonus..... Albion should initiate the option, then we can flog him in the summer.
He can then cry all he wants.
My colon cleanse is more interesting than Spare. This is a more interesting story than "Spare" ...
Calling out one of his supposed star players for lack of effort and attitude is exactly what top managers do, if you don’t it sets poor standards for the other players/youngsters. There’s no point lying, he’s not been in training for days. Not kept up with the thread in it's entirety, just got to #267 but RZD did just (basically) say 'f**k off if you're going to be a twat' to Trossard. Looks like a .....
The WC was hugely disappointing for him though, and I hope the club did factor that in a bit before making these movesIt's a shame but he does seem to have lost form since the World Cup.
If he has fallen out with the boss he needs to go sit on the bench at Spurs or Chelsea.
Does sound a bit like he needed an arm round his shoulders after the WC disappointment, he may well have seen MacAllister having time off celebrating, thought it should have been him and got himself messed up. Not really making excuses for him but he obviously got himself into a bad headspace which has led to this dramatic escalation.I like to think I have some credibility in the bank here - not a lot - but some. I can share a little on the training ground incident. This is from a club source, who I obviously can’t name, so you can either believe me or not.
Trossard was taking the piss in the training immediately after coming back from the WC. He was late and grumpy, deliberately losing sprints, doing stupid tricks and pretending to fall over during scrimmage sessions - just stupid stuff like that. Despite being told repeatedly by several coaches to focus and train professionally, he basically refused to communicate with the coaches in question. RDZ was watching all this and had a word with a “senior player” (my common sense guess would be Lallana or Dunk, but that is a guess as I say). He basically had a quiet word, Trossard told him to do one, which led to a little pushy-shovey. Trossard then pulled up minutes later with a “calf problem” and went to the treatment room.
As I understand it, this was all one incident. He then basically just left.
That was the first incident.
He was told he needed to come back for training/treatment the next day and didn’t want to until he got an apology from the senior player. He turned up late, didn’t get his apology, RDZ basically told him to man up and stop acting unprofessionally and he just outright left.
RDZ told him to report to the U23s for training and he didn’t.
Can also confirm he has now left the country without permission and the club have no idea where he is, although he appears to have gone to his home in Belgium.
Totally agree with you. But this is not a spat between coach and player that has led to a transfer request. This is simply a player who is engineering a move.Whilst I'm team RDZ, it is a bit worrying to lose one of our best players, who was one of our best goal scoring threats.

Or that he had decided to move some time ago and that the WC was going to be his shop window. The interest didn't flood in, so he began to agitate for a move.Does sound a bit like he needed an arm round his shoulders after the WC disappointment, he may well have seen MacAllister having time off celebrating, thought it should have been him and got himself messed up. Unless he’s driving barefooted with a boot full of tobleroneHe's not in the squad, so he's gone home for the weekend. Surely that's a normal thing to do.
I don't disagree that he would like to move up in the game, he's made that clear many times - but it's a stretch to go from there to this completely unprofessional behaviour before the transfer window had even opened.Or that he had decided to move some time ago and that the WC was going to be his shop window. I don't see anything about the way our club operates to suggest a player who needed support wouldn't have got it.
He could be going to see Shrek in DundeeUnless he’s driving barefooted with a boot full of toblerone
