If, IF, the option hasn't been taken up, today's action, beyond doubt it will be now to protect the club's asset.

It's all gone a bit Pierre van Hooijdonk...

I find the fact that he's boarded a train a bit 'made up' surely he'd take a flight ? Where's he off to? 'finding himself' whilst doing a spot backpacking round the f***ing Pyrenees?

I feel a bit conflicted, this has the air of Poyet about it - Tross is undoubtedly one of our best players, it's a bit of a mess.
I heard something along these lines this morning, and I know its definitely not made up. I really think he has played his last game for the club.

As said above, Leandro has been great for us but can also look like he's not interested. Roberto has called him out today after having words with him over the last week. Roberto won't take any sulking or attitudes so unless Tross knuckles down that's it, he's gone
Seems fare enough, Just seems to me that he/his agent wants a big move for him and we wanted a return on our investment by the contract extention and he has thrown a strop. Silly really, he would get his move away any way.

The key part of that statement to me is "both parties could not reach an agreement, also because Leandro has indicated that he is ready for the next step."

He made up his mind before the WC that he was leaving.
The key part of that statement was it was written by a kid wanting to get out of a sports lesson at school.

So he's picked him for two games, been sub for one then dropped.

But then he hasn't spoken to him for 4 WEEKS. Didn't give him an explanation for not using him at Everton. Complete hogwash.

I don't know about the key part but I don't like the bit about the manager humiliating him and telling him he had to train separately. That isn't conducive to team work.

That's the agent's side of the story. The truth is probably somehwere in between.

I am sure that the truth is somewhere in the middle.

But the reason it's the key part is that he'd made his mind up he wanted to leave this window, which explains why everything has suddenly come to a head.
