Durham Police did investigate Cummings

It said that the Tory Party leant on Durham Police not to investigate Cummings. If they did investigate him, it just shows they ignored it..... because Cummings deserved to be investigated.

The Cummings thing is quite complicated (unlike Downing Street) so I wasn't retrospectively surprised nothing happened although I was very annoyed at the time.

He was under threat, you only had to see the nutters outside the house at the time.

Something that got forgotten over time is that the Police did visit him in Durham and were witnessed doing so. Presumably to check he was alright.

I've looked back on it and now view it as some probable operational confusion between Number 10, the MET and Durham Police.

Now turns out the video of Starmer was filmed by the son of James Delingpole. If you don't know who he is google him.

It was then originally passed on the infamous London Mayoral failed candidate and former actor Lawrence Fox.

It's starting to look like an "operation" the Government may not want to be associated with.

Thanks for this... it is illuminating. The man's a climate change denier who lives in a Daily Express/Daily Mail bubble... so is probably impervious to logic and convinced ethics 'is a place east of London'.

In the spirit of the day, I too would like to apologise, earlier I posted a tweet by Dan Hodges which might have given the impression it was the most stupid thing he’d tweet today. I am sorry to have been wrong.

Exactly, They have managed to make this about 'Cakegate' Completely forgetting the breaking of the ministerial code by constantly lying to the house.

Well, Potty has stepped over the line with me now so I'll not trouble myself rebutting his nonsense any more.

That is a tweet that is truly breathtaking in its stupidity. The “Johnson at all costs” crew are tying themselves into increasingly convoluted knots trying to defend him, and I’m not sure why they’re so willing to damage their credibility and reputations in doing so. Project Johnson is clearly beyond saving.

Nothing to do with 'whataboutery'. You are speculating and I am putting your speculation into context. Have another go.

As always thanks for the thumbs up although a written endorsement would be braver. Now have another go.

You can never win the 'mind' of a committed campaigner. He's campaigning. I've decided to ignore it, with the contest for most engaging conversation available, when pressed, won by a whisker by my cat.
