depends if you support a team who regularily appear in the CL.

If I was a Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea or Manu fan, do you think I would give a toss about how a small seaside town football team felt about me?

Hard to say.

I would like to think there are some old-fashioned decent football fans supporting those clubs who remember and appreciate the industry and the game of football being played with a more level playing field - so to speak, and that a spirit of 'Fans United' can prevail.

Sadly, I suspect that generation is dying out, and the new 'Here & Now, Now, Now' generation has taken over.

Perhaps I'm asking too much of some people, but it sickens me to think that those new fans appear to have won.

doesnt bother me really. each to his own.

As I get older, and my fellings for BHA wane, whereas I used to look in horror at mates who would invite me to go to watch other clubs in London ( for example) ....now I am quite happy to take them up on the offer.

One, El Pres was joking.

Two, you evidently have an inside track on the Falmer financing. Why do we need a multi-millionaire just to survive?

1 i have not read the whole thread.
2 We have got 10+ years of lost fans to convert to fill Falmer on a regular basis to compete at Championship level and beyond so a multi-millionaire will help under the right management - it's shame Dick couldn't be so loyal to Dean as he is Mickey as Wilkins was the perfect man for getting the most out of a young sussex side then maybe perhaps we could get away with a smaller budget.

Four years ago, it appeared we had a potential of 28,000. So we could fill it if we tried. Put it this way, I don't know any Brighton fans who have said they're NOT going to Falmer, so a potential is there.

Sure, a multi-millionaire would help, but that wasn't what I asked. I said why do we need one purely to survive? You're implying we're f***ed without one.

Thirdly, I think it's fairly obvious what you feel about the Knight/Wilkins thing, and I think we understood you the first time. My point is - why did you bring him into the equation when discussing funding for the club at once we're at Falmer?

Oh, and loyalty is a two-way street...

errm he owns the most shares so therefore he is the owner... how do you think he has lasted this long!?

DK owns 51 shares (out of 80,233 issued)

Maths clearly isn't your strong point is it ? :jester:

I hope the 16 halfwits who think DK should resign will refuse to attend matches at the new stadium. Because there is absolutely no way that we would have got falmer without DK and the board and investors with faith in him.

There's absolutely NO chance of Dick Knight resigning the chairmanship of the club before Falmer is complete, Thats his baby and he will stick with it through thick & thin. I dont agree with all of his footballing decisions but the day Falmer opens he deserves to be carried into the stadium shoulder high.

With my specs on yes we can fill it every match.
With reality it is my opinion that we will only now have a 10,000 max hard core ( iam not saying we won't get a few sell outs )when getting to Falmer that will dwindle as we get used to going there.
For us to get a near capacity we will need to sustain a winning side year upon year with investment we will stand a far better chance ie Portsmouth - or a inconsistent performance ie Southampton is a situation we could be looking at.

Yes i hate to say we will be f***ed unless we can still make big money on players brought through the youth system, what Knight has survived on thus far but without the huge investment gate receipts will have to be at a regular sell out surely for any chance of survival.

Why i bought Wilkins in to the question was i felt Dick played the blinder in getting Wilkins in for what better way to take us forward with a great young coach. It worked for Charlton and i see no reason why it would not have worked for the Albion and we were starting to see the benefits.

Loyalty is a two way street but wasn't Dean longer on the books at the Club than Dick?

So who is the most Loyal ?

Because he has the support of the rest of the directors and shareholders.

And if anyone doesn't like that, I suggest they start a "Bloom out - and take your money with you" thread.

i don't get your post... is it directed at me? Are you suggesting that the directors of the club don't mind that we are 21st?

1. How come we are £15million in the red if making big money through the youth system is what has caused DK to survive thus far?

2. Certainly not the fans, who did nothing but whine in Wilkins first season for a 'big name' manager when we finished 18th and had 5 wins at Withdean all season.

What's not to get ?? The rest of the people that either own or run the club support Dick Knight as Chairman - that's how he's stayed so long - AND HE SHOULD !!!

The 11 who voted out, strangly enough are the same people who start stupid Adams Out polls every 5 days.

Read the Adams out bit?

He reckoned the 11 are the ones voting for Adams out or starting stupid polls.
I blew that theory away with those stats on the Adams out poll.
Does this make things clearer for you? Are you capable of marking homework properly? You might have problems understanding some of it :lolol:

Is that one in the bin for me?:drink:

My post was aimed more at the likes of Vulture, he starts those threads and is also part of the Knight out gang. I think some people just need to have a bit more calm about themselves.

Let Adams build his team and Knight take the glory he so rightly deserves.

That sums up exactly how I feel-it's a shame some of the f***wits on here don't share our feelings. Without DK there would be no Albion-without him there'd be no club for the morons on here to bitch about.

Dick Knight, he's nowhere near perfect, nowhere near, he does what we all do-fucks up now and again but thankfully he was there when nobody else gave a shit about BHAFC. For that alone he deserves respect and deserves to lead the side out at Falmer. Anybody failing to see that isn't in touch with reality.
