It is this chasing a ball and covering every blade of grass on the field tat has brought about the misfortunes of the national team. The skill factor is over looked for the athlete.

True. Very true...and probably the reason someone like Danny Mills gets loads of caps and Matt Le Tiss doesnt.

Oh for christs sake. The partnership WORKS already, why can't you just accept it ?

Virgo doesn't have the movement, touch or control of Murray. He's a blunt instrument. He can be effective to sling on up front and cause a bit of chaos, particularly charging in at the far post, but as a parter for Forster, he is nowhere NEAR as effective as murray.

I just cannot believe the grief murray gets on here. We've got what looks like being the best front-two combination we've had in YEARS, but because murray doesn't walk off the pitch coughing up his intestines through running all over the place all afternoon, people have him down as a glorified Paul Kitson.

Un.Believable.

Touch or control? Dig out your old dvds mate and look at Virgo's goals against Leicester and Watford.

Listen Dave( can i call you that on here) When we are really under it which will happen, strikers need to find that little bit more to score.Perhaps a wonder goal or chasing lost causes to crreate something out of the blue. You would wait all day with Murray.

I agree 100% the best partnership we have had since Small and Byrne and it will take us into the Championship

I don't do booing myself, don't see the point.

But i'll make an exception for Murray if he doesn't up it.I'm starting to lose it with him.

Ten goals in 23 starts from a player that has not played at this level before. What were you expecting from him? Jesus! He is quite clearly the best striker, alongside Forster, we have had for many years. How can people not see that? Or would they prefer an ineffective Hart running the line as he bleeds blue and white?

Tim, your comments will not be taken seriously if you include anything more than 100% in your opinion,100% is the maximum and cannot be bettered.

The Orient game shows that the Albion are NOT the finished article and there is plenty to work on.

The defence looks solid, the Murray-Forster partnership looks capable of getting sufficient goals for promotion purposes. Adams main problem is how to get the midfield to link from to back more effectively.

I'd say we've already got at least 8 players well capable of winning this division.

I agree ever so slightly with Algie but very slightly.

Yes when we are under the cosh and deperately need a goal i would like to see Murray burst a gut to make things happen. However in most cases, his style suits the way he plays and benefits his game.

I also cannot agree that Virgo should be playing up top with Forster, Virgo is an impact player up front, nothing more.

I feel a big performance from the whole squad on Saturday. Buzzing!

To be fair, since Murray has been here, how many times have we needed him and him alone to bust a gut chasing a game?

Zamora was very languid in style, but did not face this sort of criticism. You can't force yourself to be a different player with a different style. If you are not happy, then perhaps we can dig out the receipt and ask for out money back from Rochdale.

Virgo playing up front reminds me of former defender turned striker Paul Warhurst, who went on a freakish run of 12 goals in 12 matches for Sheff Wed in the 90s. Once David Hirst returned to the side he didn't get another look-in and only scored a handful of goals in the rest of his career thereafter.

He managed to dine out on that spell of scoring for another 3 or 4 years before people realised he wasn't a forward after all.

You can call me Emily if you like, I just wish you could see SENSE on this matter.

I'm not saying Virgo is a bad player. He's a good option to have to sling up front to change things around occasionally. But he's nowhere near as effective a partner for Forster, and permanently playing him as a striker is only going to encourage us to go even more long-ball than we have been already.

We've just got mcleod back. We've missed him greatly - he will provide that little bit of creativity we've been lacking. The service into murray and Forster will undoubtedly improve with mcleod back in the team, and thats what they will thrive on.

Virgo is not the right option. IT AIN'T BROKE ! IT DOESN'T NEED FIXING !

Matt Elliot scored a hatrick as well for a defender who was pushed upfront for the Foxes.I think thats his name.He went onto score quite a few goals for them

Besides, ignoring cup games, 1 in 4 means nothing at this stage. It is quite conceivable that he might score one or two in the next match and basing a argument on 1 in 4 will look rather daft.

He scored 33 goals in 290 appearances for Leicester.
Doesn't give a true releflection though does it? Like to know what his ratio per game is when he was upfront and assists.

Murray will end this term with 15 goals. You have read it here twice.
