Just far enough away from LDC
I know it's at a different level but my sons team have moved to a new 3g pitch and have had 4 ankle, foot injuries in a few weeks including stress fractures, sprains and ligament damage. These are 15 and 16 year olds training / playing 3 to 4 times a week

Pitch time /design can impact

As for the rumours of welbeck/dunk/fab fallouts here's hoping there is no truth in them as the only way out is the player usually goes..only one winner in that

I would suggest the pitches aren’t the issue here, it’s more a case of the intensity and work rate FH is demanding of the players. (Both in games and training)

Like a few others I’ve heard the rumours and whispers that some of the players are less than impressed with FH’s demands and methods and in particular his treatment of Evan Ferguson.
The fact that we’ve been training on the same pitches since summer 2014, and have had plenty of seasons since then where the number of injuries have been normal would certainly back up the suggestion that this isn’t the cause.

Part of the issue is our model is young players supplemented by older pros. Older pros are obviously likely to get more injuries particularly the ones we can attract. Welbeck, Milner and Lallana all demonstrate that. Also young players traditionally suffer injuries as their bodies adapt to playing lots of games, Hinshelwood, Ferguson being examples. All teams suffer normal injuries on top of that so we have a perfect storm given our model.

I think that this is the best explanation around. I categorically reject those that say that training should be light if we want to play with high intensity (which I think we should).

OK I get that a bit, but what about Lamptey, Webster, Wieffer, Igor, O'Riley? They are all mid-late 20s. I'm not including Ferdi as it's an impact injury.
Something isn't right; my money is on the intensity expected in matches and in training is not realisitic over a season, whatever the age.

am i correct in my calculations that that’s now the third player FH has supposedly fallen out with, the other two being welbeck and ferguson? seems unlikely
He may, or may not, have fallen out with players. But there’s quite a high chance that some (or all) of it is nonsense. Or some of these “falling outs” are just normal training ground heat of the moment little disagreements, that happen at every club, but get exaggerated through these fan to fan whispers. I really wouldn’t pay much attention to it.

I've managed to obtain some live footage of our new medical team applying their latest scientific methods at the Lancing training ground

A lot of the injured crew are due back in the next two weeks - predicting a nearly complete squad as we head into the last quarter and a successful push for Europe - let's hope we lose at Norwich and can then concentrate on the big bananas

If, as suggested, Fabian is over working the players fitness in training I see little sign of it working on the pitch. Our players often seemed tuckered by about 60 minutes .

However, to counter my own opinion we have scored 11 goals after the eighty minutes mark in 23 games - is that good or par for the course ?

I hope we are not going to make the same mistake as last season and sign a couple of players to reinforce the squad , as we clearly need a couple of defenders if nothing else

O’Riley was an impact injury from a horror tackle. Webster and Igor were muscle pulls that players of every club gets which is why I describe it as a perfect storm. Maybe the model needs revising if we want to play high intensity

One of the best according to a stat on sky the other day.
