Second in the PL table though, we may even have sneaked into first place after today’s injury news

Pedro injured. As said every time someone comes back from injury in that position, another gets injured.

Must be something fundamentally wrong with our new medical team and training pitch, or even Amex pitch.
I certainly don't think the Amex pitch is the best it can be. I remember walking to my seat at Villa Park (it must've been the 'Championship decider' in 2017) and looking at a pitch that was in absolutely glorious condition for a sunny May end-of-season game. I think Villa's pitch won awards that season and that there was quite an extensive article in the match programme about it.
Whereas the Amex pitch just looks a bit 'meh' and cuts up quite easily. I remember watching Watford going through their routine in the warm up near the touchline a few years ago where they sprinted up and down leaving tramlines of marks that remained throughout the game. Something I don't recall seeing with any other pitch. Ours just looks so.... I can't think of a word.... underwhelming I suppose....whereas,at Villa I was well and truly 'whelmed'.

Sussex but not by the sea
No fit strikers, possibly for a number of weeks....need to get someone in..?
This.
I've been saying this for a while now anyway. The squad isn't balanced.
On paper we have 3 x no 9s in Welbeck, Ferguson and Pedro.
However the reality is that all 3 of these players are injury prone, two of them to the point where it is not 'prone' but inevitable and actually makes them unreliable. That is not a good position for a EPL club to be in. We needed to replace Undav but didn't. Now we do. Or this season is going down the pan by the end of Feb IMO.

As for the rest of these injuries I was quite concerned with an interview with Dunk (I think after Brentford) where he stated the 'tactic' was to run further and faster than the oppo in every match. Now I'm no physio but you are asking our finely tuned athletes to put in more effort than the other team's finely tuned athletes, that is not a long term sustainable model.
