Reckon Muzza fancies coming out of retirement? Another season beset by injuries to key players is so frustrating, thought we'd used up all our bad luck last year.

We've surely got to dip into the transfer market now.

I can see the sense of not rushing certain players back for the cup game. Eg Hinshelwood/ Dunk. Why take a risk with them when we should have enough cover for the cup game and then field our strongest possible team for Ipswich.
What is the extent of the Wieffer injury though? Initially it was a minor muscle injury but he’s now been out for nearly 3 weeks.

So the current injury list is:

Dunk
Igor
Kadioglu
Hinshelwood
Milner
Wieffer
Pedro
Welbeck
Ferguson

One more injury + a goalkeeper and that's a very solid team
Baker-Boaitey back from Port Vale injured so we nearly have a full team of crocks. Add in Gomez as not match fit and stick Dunky in goal and we're laughing all the way to the Montefiore.

As for the rest of these injuries I was quite concerned with an interview with Dunk (I think after Brentford) where he stated the 'tactic' was to run further and faster than the oppo in every match. Now I'm no physio but you are asking our finely tuned athletes to put in more effort than the other team's finely tuned athletes, that is not a long term sustainable model.
I hope it's not a case of FH and his staff failing to adapt tactics and training methods to the English schedule. It sounds like the sort of mistake that simply shouldn't happen but I remember Liverpool suddenly getting a lot of muscle injuries when Klopp rocked up there: Klopp’s style questioned as Liverpool injury woes deepen

Let's get through this season like we did under RDZ with the amount of injuries piling up. Then do another full scale review on why these injuries keep occuring and maybe just maybe rip up the entire Lancing Training pitches and start afresh.

Yes that will cost us significant money, but two seasons now we have had two injury crisis. Something isn't right and its needs to be addressed immediately!

Good point. IIRC after this difficult start, the squad and incomings adapted and for most of the remaining seasons under Klopp their injury problem wasn't too bad (the exception is the year -- 22/23? -- when they finished 8th and we beat them twice early in the year).

I would suggest the pitches aren’t the issue here, it’s more a case of the intensity and work rate FH is demanding of the players. (Both in games and training)

Like a few others I’ve heard the rumours and whispers that some of the players are less than impressed with FH’s demands and methods and in particular his treatment of Evan Ferguson.

rumour or hear say, but something is definitely not right regarding his treatment of our youngsters. Enciso, Ferguson, Barco to name a few. Tony is a patient man, but I honestly believe we might not see Fabian here come the Summer if this trend continues.

Sadly these injuries are our reality, maybe even a football reality. No idea why it is seemingly so problematic here. Maybe our model doesn’t factor in injury proneness. Maybe we like coaches whose training methods increase injury, maybe it’s having a mix of very young and very old players, maybe we are just unlucky.
But I warned people this time last year that it would be foolish to think things will get markedly better this season.

Pedro injured. As said every time someone comes back from injury in that position, another gets injured.

Must be something fundamentally wrong with our new medical team and training pitch, or even Amex pitch.

The pitches there are Cat A, state of the art.

It surely can't be that.

There are also loads of teams who play an intense pressing style and play more games than we do and barely get an injury
