How long has Slade got?

You will all notice, that i have clearly accepted that it has only been shocking SO FAR, and that there is plenty of time for this to change. Yet for some reason, this is seemingly being used as reason for why i'm a negative tosser. If anyone genuinely thinks that a summer where the only good bit of playing side news is hart signing a contract is a good one, then they are clearly clueless. But i expect they are just after an excuse to get off on slagging me off. Sad.
Bloody hell, what do you mean shocking SO FAR? What has happened that can be described as shocking, bad or terrible? It's all been very run-of-the mill (unlike last summer which WAS shocking). The very worst you can say is it's been 'a bit disappointing'; save terms like 'shocking' for when the shit really hits the fan.

No wonder people think you're a miserable tosser.

I think that the gist of the thread is valid, but with WW's usual downcast spin.

Sadly, there are sections of the Albion crowd with zero patience, and very little common sense who will be calling for Slades bald head, if we are in the bottom half after 6 games.

I reckon alot of people have forgotten what this club actually went through. Didn't have to watch what was termed as football at Gillingham and all the shit that went with it.

If people have a look at who has been signed since the season ended by other Div1 clubs, its not the end of the world. JULY 1st the transfer window opens. Maybe, just maybe, we are saving on wages, waiting to sign the right player for the right money etc.

Luckily, there is only one BHA and as FANS we should stand by the managers / players unless it goes seriously wrong. We are not a massive club, even a big one at present. People forget this.

WW has said NOTHING wrong and the slagging off and abuse of him is deporable. You all need to take a long hard look in the mirror imo.

He raised some valid points.

This is a forum to debate views.

Why the witch hunt against WW.

NSC at its worst imo.

I'm right, must be WW's one and only friend. Of course your dislike of Tony Bloom has nothing to do with it. Mind you, for somebody who is so keen on giving out horse racing tips how come you have such a problem witrh somebody who made his fortune from the gambling industry ?

WW did make some valid points but as usual he ended up being his usual negative self and as per usual has exaggerated the situation beyond anything that's reconisable to any people with with an ounce of common sense.

Maybe if he laid off the doom and gloom philosophy for a month or two people might take him seriously. Frankly Adrie has more credability than him.

i give it two months.

if we are not top or somewhere near it, and playing crap at home with gates dwindling then gary Stevens will be in like a shot.

If the opposite is occuring, then he will be given more time

SHOCK NEWS...................

WW attains never-before-achieved credibility low

:lolol:

Quite!

Good quote mate,i hope WW reads this!

Er, why?

Given that i've just finished re-reading Build a Bonfire, I'm well aware of what happened.

I've accepted that there is plenty of time for improvement this summer, and i'm NOT anti-Slade.

What's your point?

While this thought of how long people are willing to give God, I disagree and even as a newbie on NSC, i have to say, what the f*** have you been smoking! They aren't even back at the club. He is still in cornwall. Give the guy a break! For me it is a 'how long' question, but more of a 'how long before Slade gets us up' not how long does he have! Im willing to wait 3/4 years, after the legenderyness of DK, and the new cash and new ear TB and RS are going to bring, this epicly huge change needs time, and as a STH i am willing to wait and let time take its course, because everything we need is there, it just needs to mix and grow.

I very much love the way BHA are looking. Slade is gonna be huge.

1) Your point? It is a theoretical question, not something I want to happen.
2) So far, it has been pretty poor yep, although some people feel 'shocking' is too strong an adjective.
3) I don't think I mentioned Loft. But losing the main player who kept us up is NOT a good thing.

Owusu did brilliantly for us and is now in an elite group of Albion Legends;however he could not train all week and would only of been a bench warmer for us had he signed for us this coming season.
Lets wait until Mr Slade comes back from Portugal and see what happens then.
BE PATIENT!

The only point I disagree on is Gary Stevens as No 1, I think TB would employ a wellknown name as No 1 but insist on GS being No 2, as apparently happened when Mullery became manager with Lloyd as his No 2.

It would be nice to see a list of 'credible' managers who are queing up for the position.
Slade needs at least 2 seasons IMHO.
He is a proven manager at this level, I think player attitude could do with some scrutiny going by the results and write ups.
I am just hoping that we are getting all our s**t results out the way early in the season.
Never thought last seasons' anxiety would be creeping in so soon, keeps you on your toes I suppose.

All those that attacked Withdean Wanderer's opening post on this thread should hang their heads in shame.

Look at the discussions on NSC right now. The fans are turning.

Quite. I and some others said it was a reasonable question at the time but for some reason rather large numbers of people had a go at the questioner for asking it.

And I see that we've now had two polls this season on whether Slade's in or out and the latest one has 25% saying out - that doesn't sound to me like it's a much of a joke.

How long Slade has got will of course come down to how Tony Bloom views the quality of the squad.

It may end up being like QPR.
Owners with money to strengthen, but don't, but still expect success, then keep axing the manager until they hire a guy that finds a magic formula to make a very average group of players into promotion contenders.
