We've had loads of nominations but not too many being seconded.

So far we have:

IN
Polar Bear (reigning champ)
Crocodile(2007beaten finalist)
Honey Badger(charismatic peoples champ-although knocked out in the quaters last time round)
Hippo(vanquished the honey badger in 2007)
Buffalo(can't remember how it did last time round, so probably not so well. Maybe it's been in training)

Then we have a few that have kind of been seconded:
Ants:soldier, bulletand south american fire ants have all been nominated once, and someone nominated ants as a whole, so ants should be in just need to decide which ones.

Cats:two nominations so should be in, I'm just a little dubious that cats really belong in a worlds hardest creature contest...

Gorilla: technically two votes although I'm not sure Nibble was being entirely serious with his nomination of the rare glory hole gorilla...

Frogs:eek:ne vote for the poisonous tree frog and one picture of a frog(dunno what kind of frog though) so frogs are IN but again need to work out which one.

Jellyfish:I think Mattbackhomes pic is a jellyfish and so is one of SirAlbion's. need someone to confirm though as I'm a bit of a waterbased creature no-knowledge no-mark.

Snakes:eek:ne vote for the Fierce Snake, one pic of a snake and a story about being attacked by a snake. Snakes are IN, but what kind?
Nominated but not seconded
Wolverine
The Orca
Bullshark
tiger shark
Great White Shark
Black Bear
Brown Bear
Kangaroo
Cockroach
Japanese Giant Hornet
Collossal Squid
Baboon
Sea Snake
Swan
Scorpion
Komodo Dragon
Mosquito
Stingray
Tas Devil
Wombat
Bird Eating Spider
Hyena
Phillipine Eagle
Man
Mongoose
Tiger
The Viagra beetle(?!)
Lion

So it's now up to the good animal loving folk of NSC to get seconding and putting forward any late nominees. The tournament proper is sure to start sometime soon.

Oi!! You missed off my nomination of Seagulls! Somebody second it for God's sake. Call yourselves supporters? :censored:

I'll be ASTONISHED if my mosquito nomination doesn't get seconded. Let me repeat - it has killed more human beings than any other animal, millions every year. You may not consider it the HARDEST animal out there, but surely it deserves it's place at the table to be judged as such by the good window licking people of NSC.

But its not the mosquito that kills people rather the parasite that the Mosquito carries. Therefore the Mosquito is a delivery system rather than being the actual killer. Unlike snakes or whatever, that make their own venom, the Mosi relies on something else.

get the mossi out!

I'll second your mozzie if you second my Seagull

Mossie has been seconded so you'll have to wait until the group stages. I have no affinity with the humble mossie to be fair, but I think it NEEDED to be there. I'll probably end up voting for something hard but with a long long history. One of the many dangerous reptiles will probably SNARE my vote.

Meanwhile I'm going to second the most dangerous shark in the world. Great whites (biggest, and most powerful) and Tiger sharks (will eat anything it's way) both deserve a mention but I am actually seconding the BULL SHARK. It lives in coastal and delta areas and also swims up rivers (often 1000 miles or more) and kills loads of people, especially where the water is murky.

The mozzie is seconded. I won't second your seagull because they're not so much hard as complete TWATS, pinching your chips and shitting everywhere. :nono:

They look quite good on a soccerball badge though.

Fierce snake was my choice and should be snake rep on merit because it is so venomous, unless of course someone can recommend one of the more nutter snakes, that attack just for the hell of it.

Puff Adder in Africa. Responsible for most fatalities, due to it being so widespread, camoflauged, fast striking and aggressive. But how this compares to fatalities in Asia (Cobras/Russels Vipers) and Rattlesnakes in USA I don't know?
