Leg out of the bed
Is this taking off a striker who missed a penalty and two sitters?

If Hoskins replaced Barnes, the dynamic wouldn't have altered, would it?

Putting Crofts on instead of Barnes made us more defensive, and as I say, the play moved closer to our goal, with the inevitable equaliser

We should have been at least 4-0 up by then, not Gus' fault that players are not putting the ball in the net. I also think that 99% of managers in the football league would do the same whilst defending a 1-0 lead.

Missed sitters, missed penalties, extra injury time and hundreds of other variables can't be controlled by the manager on the touchline. Changing the dynamic of the team and thus the game through substitutions, is controlled by the manager, and a bad decision was made today

Agreed with every word Gus said. He stated that he picks the team and they are set up to win but he cannot take the penalties or tap the ball in from 3 yards. Not much more that Gus can do at the moment.

Except maybe give the 2 strikers sitting on the bench more than 5 minutes between them?

Perhaps he should address his own weaknesses as a manager, manifested today in taking off a striker, and replacing him with a defensive midfielder, thus putting the team on the back foot, and moving the majority of the play forty yards closer to our goal

Immature comment from Gus & sums up his pathetic, lackadaisical approach to penalty taking, with a 'let the players choose' attitude as if it ranks in importance with ordering the post match pizza.

This is Gus's major and continuing failing, his lack of COJONES. Last season over 46 games only in 3 did we 'put the game to bed' by being 2 goals up with 15/20 minutes to go & this timid, negative attitude when 1 up continues time and again

Sorry but by the time he made that substitution we should have been 4-0 up and it's the attackers fault we weren't. At that point anyone in their right mind would have concluded it wasn't our day and tried to stick for a few minutes instead of twisting. It's Barnes and CMS's fault we drew today. End of.

He was great.

Without over-reacting, he strongly indicated that the goal finishing (lack of) issue, has now come to a head.

And that the squad quality must move up a level, to be able to incentivise Bruno to stay.

I see a quality finisher joining the club in January. 5 months too late, but better late than never.

5 months to late? I don't think so. There's everything to play for and if can get someone then game on.

Seagull News: the questions weren't very good. Reading between the lines, Bruno may be off if he does not get Premier League football with the Albion.

I don't think shrugging of the shoulders is very good. Jimmy Case used to do that.

Charlie Austin was mentioned. (But he is and out and out goalscorer. He does not play another role: my comments. He is still very good though and I thought that after we won at Burnley before he started scoring most of his goals.)

I think Gus mentioned in a pre-match interview that we have not got an aerial presence upfront.

In the Mullery team the players chose the penalty takers. So it is not different. I think penalty taking should be taken as a serious science and the first and second choice penalty takers chosen before KO, and the opposing keeper researched. Hard into the corner is the only way to take them. Like Diouf.

Gus Poyet also said the only game we played terrible was at Blackpool (when we pinched a point).

He's got to stop the team sitting so deep after 70 odd minutes. It's crazy to invite teams onto us and not push up when we break. We should have one that game by 2 or 3 clear goals. Hopefully TB will resolve the issue in Jan

I get really annoyed when we play 3 holding midfielders. We can NOT play with 3 defensive midfielders, works with 2, not 3.
