"Get Britain Out Of The EU" - what does that really mean? We can't "get out" - apart from geography more than half our trade is with the EU.
And, interestingly, I see this poll is presently 37-36 for Out, so pretty much 50/50. If you believed the media you'd expect the outcome would be 80-20 out.
The problem with the "debate" is that the economic case FOR entry has never been presented clearly to the British public. We get all the bad news about Greek debt, wine lakes and butter mountains but we don't get any good news like profits to UK companies from expansion into the new EU markets.

Way to ignore the other two. Anyway nobody specifically mentioned the CAP, you specifically said "I love this idea that other countries are going to let us select which bits of the EU we are going to opt into.". I merely pointed out that we already do that, and have a history of doing that.

again with the EU/EEC confusion. i think the economic case for EEC (or EFTA) integration is very well made. the case for political and legislative EU integration has never really been attempted.
