the other daft excuse after cant afford better food. if ones metabolism is different, change eating to suit. i used to be in the eat all day and still be a lanky streak of piss, but hit a point were i noticed actaully i cant eat like that anymore, i have a belly in profile now. so i dont eat so much, especially at the weekends if i dont do much. have the lower calorie sandwich, pick a chocolate mousse rather than millionaire slice for pudding (wow the firt time i noted the calories...), avoid coke and other fizzy drinks, have 2 instead of four chocy biscuits etc.

This. I've put on two stone in two years (since i hit 30), so have taken steps to control this. Soon I'll be back on the bike and riding like a chubster until i get myself fit again.

Yeah like you are born fat! Don't hide behind that one,you are eating and using more resources than the rest of us,costing more in health care,making the train from falmer more crowded and a bit more smelly,you are a locust of the western world! People who are infertile have no choice but people bringing in obese children into the world should be charged with child abuse!

I'm 6ft and 13st 6lb. Doesn't sound too bad, but I have no muscles so it is pretty much ALL fat.

I'm now 30 years old, and this is the heaviest/largest I have ever been - I used to be between 12st and 13st max from 22 to about 28 - and its 100% my fault.

Fat people are fat because they eat too much and don't exercise enough. End of story.

Its simple everyone is different, so therefore everyone needs different amounts of exercise and food to keep in shape ,if you cant even do that you should have to pay the bill for all of the problems you will encounter later on. People who blame being fat about metabolism and thyroid problems are f***ing idiots yes some people do have them but they are in a huge minority people are just lazy pigs and don't know when to stop. You create a problem you pay for it.

Ignorance? I can understand if someone has a general medical issue. But 99% of over weight people are just being lazy, eating more than they should and are not exercising. It's all choice.

Sounds like you have some rather severe psychological problems. Chill out, nazi troll of the week.
I'm no more than pleasantly, to some, plump, and tend to eat out of unhappiness. It's a foolish thing to do, but i do it. I also run about 20 miles a week, cycle 50 and play two games of football too. While the latter burns the former, in general, it doesn't take away the reasons for me to want to have comfort in the vice i seem to have chosen, since giving up fags and drugs and other idiotic and enjoyable young person things. I'm in that pattern now. I've cost the NHS nothing because of eating, but i shan't feel guilty for whatever i do cost them, unless i have caused another's direct ailment or condition. I certainly wouldn't feel bad because some arse on the internet acts as if i should.
We could all do with some cognitive behavioural therapy, reworking elements of ourselves that mightn't be the healthiest to have, i think, and learn to have a few less exclamation marks in our utterances and thinking.

Did anyone see on the news about the two blokes who were running the marathon course a week early. One of them was the biggest bloke you could expect to see. There he was - running the marathon. And they were doing some other thing where they were doing a marathon a day for a period.

Fitter than a lot of the thin people on here. It ain't always that black and white.

I use to work with a woman who was about 20 stone. She use to say that she was fat because she was big boned and had a slow metabolism.., However every f***ing minute of the day i would look at her, she was shovelling in as many biscuits as she could possibly manage without biting her own hand off. She would have a 3 course Chinese meal at lunch and f*** knows what she would eat in the comfort of her own home...

Now if fat people acknowledge that they eat badly and don’t do a minute of exercise i don’t mind (they will just cost the NHS) then they are more bearable...

However either way you slice it is not just superficial as i mentioned earlier but being fat reflects on their lack of will power, lack of self respect and lack of hygiene...
