Fat people, scourge of society or unfortunate victims?

I thought addictions were now called diseases, like alcoholism. Then what are Diseases now called?

Maybe a lot of the " fatties " are very unhappy people so to be ridiculed and abused is not really going to help is it ? Empathy seems to be lost on NSC nowadays.

I just want to fight the corner of my " fatty " mate. I don't see him as a scourge to society or of no worth. I seem him for the lovely bloke he is. A cracking all round good guy and if people can't see through someone's size and decide they are surplus to the human race on this criteria alone it makes me despair.

What I mean is if someone came up to my mate and called him a fat fucker and worthless I would deck them. It's very easy to be the hard man on NSC posting anonymously.
