Well I reluctantly played a full 70 minute football match this morning and have just been for a half-hour walk so I should bloody well hope so !
Is that it! Luxury I tells yer, not only do we live in a hole in the ground, and slaved for 25 hours down pit
I cycled 35 miles inc up Steyning Bostal, walked for a hour, before going back to pit.

Just one marathon.
I did all that, then a triathlon, then cycled Lands End to John O'Groats, and was back in time for tiffin.

As a start I went to the game yesterday and instead of going to Brighton and catching the No 27 bus I went to Preston Park and walked to and from the ground, which for me is a reasonable walk and something I havent done this season.

I really think dropping the Zero Coca-cola is the next step.

I really think dropping the Zero Coca-cola is the next step.

Nasty stuff, I vaguely remember reading something or seeing it on the news many moons ago about diet coke performing like formaldehyde when heated to about body temperature. Steer well clear. Water is best for bodies, there are a thousand options if you don't like it plain. My favourite is 1/2 fizzy water with 1/2 grapefruit or orange juice.

Never been a great fan of fizzy stuff, when I asked for a bottle of water at Seaworld the woman thought I was stark raving mad.

Odd isn't it. I think on the whole most people don't drink enough water. Its a great weight loss helper too! Have a pint of water if you feel a bit peckish, you may actually be thirsty. If you're still hungry 20 minutes later then you are genuinely hungry, nothing lost and a good drink of water gained.

You do have to remember there's no quick fixes.
If you were to go 'cold turkey' on all the good stuff, beer choccy fizz et al, you'll get an initial result.
But this won't mean anything if it's all too much too soon, as a little knock to your confidence or physical well being and you'll be back to square one.

Take your time, if your a targets person set some, but they must be obtainable and realistic.
Mine never are, I go great guns but will have a bad weekend then give up entirely wollow in self pity and bingo I'm heavier than I was before I started!

I weighed myself, last night, on the Wii.
That's one thing it's good for, as it keeps a record of all your weigh in's.

Anyway in the 57 days, since I last used it, I have lost 1/2 a stone.
Plus I've lost exactly a full stone since the start of the year.

Obviously I'm well happy with that.
It comes from all the usual stuff, eating less more exercise.
I've made an effort to cut the crap (haribo) and beer.
Although my diet isn't great, being veggiephobic, I'm trying hard to eat better and this kind of progess really helps.

Well done SB, keep on going at a steady pace and you'll get to where you want to go!

Very well done SB. Does that Wii thing actually work then? i thought it was a toy.

I have an added problem with exercise causing joint seizure and swimming causing increased infection issues...........bugger. I am already half dead.
