What you do have is excellent knowledge of young European players, Swedish football and associated coaches and it’s knowledge no one else here has. Your tactical analysis is also good and often very interesting. If you just stayed in your lane instead of piling in to things you know nothing about then I think people, me included, would have huge respect for you and many would take you off ignore.
I largely agree with this and I do find Han Solo’s tactical analysis very interesting and informative.

I would not dream of interacting with him on here on the subject of politics or social issues.

Mind you there are a lot on here that fall into that second category for me and they do not have anything like the same football knowledge!

I've heard Ferguson praise Welbeck for the help and advice he has given him. But does that make me think that Welbz would get into a row with Hurzeler on his behalf? It seems to go against everything we (think we) know of DW's character. And I've heard Hurzeler say good things about Ferguson and that he doesn't want or expect him to go on loan in January, so I take that at face value.

There are about three people who don't actually work for the Albion that I'll believe if they tell me things from 'inside' the club. It was four, but then even he repeated some clickbait as fact and lost all credibility in my eyes.

There was nothing ITK about Connolly. He was seen in local nightclubs regularly by Brighton fans and there were quite a few social media posts of him drunk with a group of friends. He subsequently admitted to alcoholism in that period and has, admirably, got treatment and turned his life around. Fair play to him.

The problem is you refuse to be wrong even when you are. The Gilmour transfer thread is full of it.

We have a young squad and a great academy so many people here will know players from the local scene. Additionally there’s another academy in Brighton run by a former Premier League manager. And some players - let’s call them Duffy and Connolly - are less discreet when they’re out than others. People here will simply know more than someone who hasn’t left Sweden in God knows how long.

I'm going to take a long break from any "meta" discussions after this so just going to clarify very briefly:

1. I have no doubts that a lot of people know a lot more about the inside of the club and the people working or playing for it.
2. But I will not automatically believe everyone claiming to be ITK.

Really simple.

Do you agree RDZ is a shit manager then?

And exactly what the majority of NSC members do 👍

Would have thought that the vast majority of those genuinely ITK on certain things would be the last to post anything on here that might compromise or impact their sauces - it’s pretty well known the club (rightly) have zero tolerance on this. Ergo, most of the pseudo-ITK stuff posted on here can immediately be dismissed as :poop: :lolol:

Depends what it is. Something factual like a fixture date change or EP posting about our finances would be little helpful things with no real impact.

Something like “a bloke in the pub told me Welbeck and Hurzeler can’t even be in the some room” is obviously grade A bolleaux.

Darren Bent explained how these ‘ rumours ‘ normally get out. Footballers believe it or not have mates who aren’t footballers. He said he would text mates saying the gaffer dropped me today I’m pissed off or whatever the mate then goes down the pub Benty’s been dropped today he’s fuming and so it goes on.

I have a small group of people I trust inside information with - they've earned the trust by not blabbing their mouths off - so I know I can share juicy tidbits with, and know it won't go any further and come back to burn me on the arse.

This includes the current moderating team on here, so I shared the concern about Solly with them shortly after that Ajax game.

All sounds very sensible.

I'm not going to spend my time searching back to see the precise wording I used about Solly's injury with @Guinness Boy and others, but without asking, I'm guessing what he may have said about Solly's injury came from me.

Oops. I guess you need to cross one person off your trusted list.

No it didn’t come from you.

Oh.

It would be a pretty seismic rift - and one that would be near impossible to repair IMHO - if a senior player felt strongly enough that they had to intervene with the head coach on behalf of a younger player. For that reason I prefer to call BS on OP. Else we're in deep shit

No disagreements... someone made the effort to fight formy new chance here and others were kind to eventually go with it, want to honour that and while I've improved in not actively causing havoc and annoyance, I still notice I frequently get baited into hopeless NSC-meta-discussions by a handful of individuals keen on making me lose my shit and it kind of has a negative impact.

Ignoring the baiters is my NSC new years promise, and it'll work out better than what I said like three minutes ago about no meta talk  (but felt it was useful to mention if it can detract any of the handful of individuals from turning things into swannytalk; because that ain't gonna work in 2025).

Maybe make another resolution to get yourself over to the Amex for a game in 2025. Then your detractors would have one less stick to beat you with 🙂

This could be highly feasible, Danny has played under some very experienced managers and has probably been damaged by a few a long his amazing trip to the Albion.
As a senior player in his twilight, you would say something if you felt Ferguson's treatment was hurting the player in one way or another. Let's look at some of the other unconfident players we are currently harbouring since FH arrival. Let's hope FH can spark all their confidence again like de Zerbi did.

I think its feasible that Danny could have expressed some opinions or something but that they would have had a fight to the point of Welbeck being omitted from the squad... think you have to have pretty wild imagination.
