PS: This is actually what Hurzeler said about Danny in the pre Villa press conference.

'You can't push him through this period with painkillers all the time. It's our responsibility to take care of the health of the player. That is why we had another scan. We tried to listen to other experts on ankle injuries, and now we will try to find the right solution for Danny. He is very doubtful for the games in the rest of this year.'
Don't derail this thread with truth or common sense please.

This summer you and GB wrote almost simultaneously two contradicting ITK things about Solly March. Since only one of you could be right but both of you demanded I trust you and your ITKs... what do you expect?

Its nothing personal though, its just that maybe 90% of the "ITK" stuff posted here turns out to be complete junk so I find it reasonable to have that as my core attitude: "don't believe what anonymous people say that other anonymous people say about celebrities". Maybe I'm too cynical or maybe this makes perfect sense. Either which way I don't believe stuff people can't back up.

And thats not saying that there's oceans of NSCers sitting around making up lies. I could plausibly believe you when you say you've heard Solly will be running again in October. Or when GB said he heard Solly will never play football again. But I don't necessarily trust that your anonymous sources are trustable... so I choose to look at almost all ITK stuff with very sceptical eyes.
Just because I can't be arsed with this usual, everyone is talking bullshit from you, GB's source for the Solly stuff in the summer about running was someone who spoke to him personally, I know this because I saw him speaking to him personally with my own eyes, so there you go. Glad we can move on from that.

I hate press conferences. They're dull and people pick through every little thing reading whatever they like into it. Sometimes they're right, mostly they're wrong. It's a shame that managers have to do them game after game. Can't clubs just release an injured list instead?
Seems to be a bit of a legacy from the days when it woz the sun wot wun it.
The people have a 'right' to ask questions.
Etc.

I have given up listening to the pressers.
The questions are so wanky.

So Danny was on constant painkillers in the Villa presser, but now has “no pain” in the Arsenal presser. Great news, quick recovery, need him back.

FH said Welbeck has no pain, and also he has no idea, he could be quick, or it could be 2,3 or 4 weeks. If he has no pain, and it could be quick, that doesn’t suggest the plan is about taking care and not taking risks. It suggests the ball is in the player’s court, so to speak.
I salute your ability to generate inferences and turn them into facts.

It suggests that you have a creative and imaginative personality.

The pre-game pressers became mandatory in 2008/09, on the request from particularly broadcasters, due to Sir Red Nose (and to extent his angry French counterpart) being increasingly reluctant to pop up and provide some big headlines/attention.

I'm Sagittarian but I have Goofy rising in my anus. What does that make me, personality wise?

Ah! Good point.

My favourite commentator, someone you won't have heard of (Alan Green) was denied access to Fergy after he made a few insightful comments about the way Fergy operated. All this did was make Fergy look a tit. But Green was not a popular commentator as far as most listeners are concerned, and my liking for him is a minority position. So Fergy got away with this without much of the mockery it deserved.

Green was the first commentator to step away from the anodyne, and was the first to call out a game he was working on as dull (commentators seemed to think their employers expected them to hype up every game till then). I liked that. But he was accused of being opinionated and arrogant. He was a bit of an arse off-mic apparently and in the end his contract was not renewed. Boo.

Fergy was unwilling to engage with any criticism of himself or his team.
I suppose one could argue why should he be forced to do anything that undermined his position?
Do we really have a right to grill managers via our media designates?
Apparently these days we do....

Given the information flow today, this old pre-match presser thing is certainly a bit obsolete and every new generation of managers is more media-trained than the last, so it usually doesn't generate much headlines either.

People want to hear their managers and their thoughts but I think ditching the sleepy pre-game shit and banging harder on a post-game press conference would be more interesting and entertaining... the few times I'd be arsed to watch it.

? Where did he sound agitated….listened to it and wasn’t given that impression at all
Yeah watching it now... how anyone can say he is agitated is beyond me.

If anything he looks exceptionelly calm, happy, fresh and clean compared to how PL managers normally look after seven winless.
