Cant see anything on here about it, but have heard from a reliable source that Fab and Welbeck have had a big bust up on the training ground about Fabs treatment of Ferguson in training being to harsh on the lad. Has anyone else heard about this?
You'd better have something substantial to back this up. Otherwise this is a very very unhelpful post.

Silly old bat
Two supporter friends of mine have each had this Welbeck rumour from independent reliable sources.
You’re even more unbelievable than the OP, with your ‘hold the nerve’ rubbish.

And if you call BS you'll get told "well, people in Brighton know each other and talk", and you have to suck up the bullshit and accept that it’s undeniably true. At least thats what I've been told.
You’re intentionally conflating times you were mocked, because you have very little understanding of the real world outside of your bedroom. I remember when you were under the impression that footballers don’t go out shopping in Tesco, or have mates outside of football, or that people are mates with physio assistants or canteen staff or the bus driver - and mates talk.

You’re conflating “I saw Connolly drunk and being a prick in town” - which many of us did - with outright rumour mongering about squad harmony.

I know people who know people at the club, and mates of mates who know players. Why is this so hard for you to understand?

Lots of people go outside, know people (in real life), go to matches (Albion and grassroots). I’ve chatted with Rio Ferdinand several times when he’s been watching his son Lorenz play for us. One time I sat next to him for the whole game.

What don’t you understand about this? It’s like a mental block.

Fine.

Fabian Hurzeler beat the shit out of Danny Welbeck who then ran to one of his ninetyeight octogenarian NSC-mates who then came here and told us all about it.

Happy? Able to move on?

You’re missing the nuance again presumably because, from your distant vantage point, it looks like anyone claiming to have the inside word from a source, is just making it up.

I absolutely agree that I believe it’s highly unlikely that Dat Guy has kicked off - he just doesn’t seem to be the type - but I also know that there are people who may tell me something on the quiet that I give high credibility too.

They’ll either have a close tie to someone inside the club or, in some cases, are actually inside the club themselves.

Maybe from where you are it’s difficult to have a bullshit detector of any merit.

This summer you and GB wrote almost simultaneously two contradicting ITK things about Solly March. Since only one of you could be right but both of you demanded I trust you and your ITKs... what do you expect?

Its nothing personal though, its just that maybe 90% of the "ITK" stuff posted here turns out to be complete junk so I find it reasonable to have that as my core attitude: "don't believe what anonymous people say that other anonymous people say about celebrities". Maybe I'm too cynical or maybe this makes perfect sense. Either which way I don't believe stuff people can't back up.

And thats not saying that there's oceans of NSCers sitting around making up lies. I could plausibly believe you when you say you've heard Solly will be running again in October. Or when GB said he heard Solly will never play football again. But I don't necessarily trust that your anonymous sources are trustable... so I choose to look at almost all ITK stuff with very sceptical eyes.

Seriously, read post #63 again, and at least try to understand the difference between first hand ITK and rumours. This thread is about a rumour (actually, it probably is the rumour) - there is nothing to back it up. Other posts - about seeing player X shopping in Waitrose with his wife for example, or seeing Aaron Connolly sloshed in Shoosh - are seriously more reliable.
It really doesn't require much common sense to differentiate!

There's no difference.

As a journalist, or ex-journalist rather, I wouldn't be able to touch any of those things because I can't verify them. And since I can't verify them, I'm not going to blindly believe in it either.

With the logic in your post, your essentially saying that if OP had written "I was looking out my window and saw that that Fab and Welbeck had a big bust up" rather than "but have heard from a reliable source that Fab and Welbeck have had a big bust up", we should have considered it "seriously more reliable" because it comes from a "first hand ITK".

But as I see things, I would still consider it highly likely bullshit - exactly like I do now.

lol by god we’d better win one of Villa or Arsenal or what is this place gonna look like 🤣

I'm happy to recount the Solly March tale, as best I can remember it.

After the victory over Ajax in Amsterdam, I was in a bar with @Papa Lazarou and another mate when we got chatting to another Albion fan I didn't know.

He told us there was serious concern inside the club that the nature of Solly's injury, compounded on top of his previous injury, could make it career-ending.

He was a random bloke, so that information potentially had no merit at all. However, other things he said about other Albion matters - and I'm not being coy, I genuinely can't remember what they were now - I knew to be true from my connections at the club. They weren't things that were in the public domain, and would only be known to those who did have a good connection at the club.

So, the other information he shared with me. meant I gave more merit to the concern about Solly.

I have a small group of people I trust inside information with - they've earned the trust by not blabbing their mouths off - so I know I can share juicy tidbits with, and know it won't go any further and come back to burn me on the arse.

This includes the current moderating team on here, so I shared the concern about Solly with them shortly after that Ajax game.

I'm not going to spend my time searching back to see the precise wording I used about Solly's injury with @Guinness Boy and others, but without asking, I'm guessing what he may have said about Solly's injury came from me. However, by the summer - which is what you seem to be referencing - progress had been made. I can't remember who told me what, but it's possible I had positive news I'd not got round to sharing.

So, that's the Solly March injury story.

Recently, I knew about Joel Veltman's injury ahead of the team being publicised for the first game he was absent. I didn't share that publically as the club don't want to give the opposition any team information they could look to exploit but, again, I did tell a select small group. Actually, if you look at everywhere I write about Albion things, there was a very big clue there, but you'd only know that with the benefit of hindsight.

People get told things by people at the club or their close connections all the time. They really do.

He's already had a suspension for accumulating yellow cards, I'm not sure how anyone can really make that judgement at this point. We've hit a serious dip in form and there's reports of about 5 players being unhappy.

No smoke without fire imho.
Only 5 are unhappy!? If this is true the real story would be all the players being happy with the current form.

What total bullshit.
