Apparently things haven't worked out well for Ferguson this season with injuries being an issue.

It is possible that we may keep him, sell him or send him out on loan.

I think the club thought that Evan was our mid-term main striker and save us £40m+ in spend, plus would also be the next £100m+ sale in 2/3 years time. So did most of us. The NSC new striker threads even dried up!

It’s not working, that injury EF picked up at f***ing Chelsea is starting to look career changing, the majority of that £200m on wingers/ACMs and none of it on a number 9 is starting to look like a mistake.
All true. But in the same way we’ve given Solly time & eased him back in, surely we should be doing the same to see if there’s the chance we can revive talent in Evan. It just seems a bit hasty to let him go.

In the video, towards the end, FH justifies playing Gruda instead of Minteh with: “Because we faced a low block, and we tried to find solutions in narrow spaces, and that's why we brought in Gruda.”

Later that evening, however, it emerged that Gruda played instead of Minteh because the latter arrived late.
Did he say why he keeps benching the inform Rutter?

I imagine it's all pretty simple. A manager sometimes just don't fancy a player and they don't play them. Ferguson may fall into that category and then the club has to choose whether back the manager. Such is football.
To be fair to FH, he has looked poor in every performance under him except the shot the subsequent goal against Wolves.

What he needs is minutes to play himself into back good form. I don’t blame FH in preferring Welbz, Rutter or Pedro at this point.

The question is then around does a fully fit and in-form Ferguson get in our team? I’m wondering if his all round game is not what FH requires in a No.9?

The issue with this is if/when we decide FH is not the right man in the next 12-18 months, and we’ve sold the next Alan Shearer for a set of tracksuits. I agree he doesn’t fit the system (assuming we have a system). But I’m less convinced about the system. I’m not trusting the process I guess

Yep as is football life. But if there was a choice between keeping the manager or Ferguson, I’d pick Ferguson. We can only hope Ferguson goes on loan preferably abroad than being sold.

IMHO it would be a huge gamble selling Evan at this stage in his career. We've seen him in great spells, we've seen him in duff/coming back from injury spells. He could be anything. Would make sense loaning him out to a non-competitor where he could get a run of games under his belt, so we can get a better idea whether to cash in or not. I still think Celtic would be a great loan move for the lad

I am reading between the lines here but the noises coming out of the club don’t sound that enthusiastic about getting Evan up and running again in an Albion shirt. Just transfer speculation being mentioned by the Albion’s tame journalists and cryptic and less than enthusiastic and supportive, imo, comments from FH. I expect him to go before the end of the window and am leaning towards a sale over a loan

Something very odd has been going on. I think Evan may be going a little Enciso on us but behind closed doors rather than in the media.

I also was aware of the name of Alex Dawson but didn't know too much about him.
This seems to be a neat summary:

I saw him play for us. He was our main striker in 1969. After him came Willy Irvine, who scored in the match of the day 'first game up' win against Villa in Div 3 (I was there). After that we had a couple of poor strikers, Alan Gilliver, Alan Duffy and Kenny Beamish, before the upturn first with fat Fred Binny and then the world turned on it's head with Peter Ward. Strikers of the 70s.....
