Yep as is football life. But if there was a choice between keeping the manager or Ferguson, I’d pick Ferguson. We can only hope Ferguson goes on loan preferably abroad than being sold.
Let's change the manager then, say goodbye to his backroom staff and employ a manager who will play Ferguson. Make that a condition of his appointment. Make Ferguson bigger than our club!!

The guy's not currently fit, is going to take games to get up and running. His dad wants him somewhere where he is going to get 15 starts by the end of the season. That's not going to be with us and on what he has shown in the last 18 months is not going to be anywhere in the EPL.

I am reading between the lines here but the noises coming out of the club don’t sound that enthusiastic about getting Evan up and running again in an Albion shirt. Just transfer speculation being mentioned by the Albion’s tame journalists. I expect him to go before the end of the window and am leaning towards a sale over a loan
Yes.

You have imagined some lines, and you are reading between them.

The thing about this thread is that whatever happens, around 20% of those who have offered a humble opinion will be able to claim they were right.

I am still convinced that he will either stay, go out on loan, or be sold. If he stays he will either perk up and do well, or he will become a peripheral figure fading into obscurity and an eventual exit.

Of all this, I am 100% certain and expect fulsome praise and respect for my insights and wisdom at the appointed time.

Something very odd has been going on. I think Evan may be going a little Enciso on us but behind closed doors rather than in the media.
I read that we want £60 million for him. Is anybody going to pay that ? I reckon a loan and I wish him the best of luck with that. The grass is always greener!

Yep.
The manager is clueless.
Probably a communist.
Make Ferguson Great Again!
Sack the board!

I am not looking to be right and will take ZERO satisfaction from seeing him leave on loan or permanently. I hope he stays and FH is forced into giving him a run.

But what if he never regains his form?
Would you be happy for him to just see out his contract and then sign for Palace on a free?

I agree it isn't about being right, but we have to do something.
We can't just do nothing.
Everyone is in agreement about that.

(I'm really getting the hang of this now. What do you think?)

Yep, you are right. Pedro and Welbeck are highly likely to pick up knocks and Welbeck cannot play 90 mins a week anyway. Ferguson has absolutely no chance of regaining form if he’s not playing but then again if the club are to be believed he cannot finish a game without suffering another long term injury anyway.

Lets just wing it, move Evan out on loan or sell him and it will be even more fun if we get a few centre back injuries at the same time if our first choice front line are out too.

I’d be happy to bag £10m for him now.

He’s twenty. He should be old enough to a) stay fit and b) score.

He’s done neither, for either us or Ireland.

He’s just a taller version of Connolly.

(coincidence they are both Irish and not some anti-Irish juxtaposition going on there)

I’d sooner buy a striker from a league one outfit and give them a chance than waste anymore time on Evan.

As we are in the realms of unchartered speculation here, I think is it possible that the management are fearful of letting a potential gem go to a Premier League competitor, unless for a great deal of money which will satisfy the demands of more sceptical fans. If that is the case, then Evan Ferguson will either go to Bayern Leverkusen or out on loan to another Premier League Club with the option of a sale for say £70 million.

There, I made that all up on my own.....

Would be stunned if any club was prepared to pay north of 50m for a player who’s been out for most of the last 12 months. It will be a loan deal or Evan will stay.

In my total guesswork opinion Evan hasn't been fully fit since that Liverpool thug Matip Achilles raked him, then smiled at the ref and got away with the most clear cut red card you'll ever see.
So previous to that tackle he was playing really well and the world was his oyster so to speak.
I'd be gutted if he leaves the club because he will come good,of that I've no doubt, however I do think a loan will do him no harm even to Southampton where I'd guess he'd get plenty of minutes once fit.
Hard to put a price on him currently but I'm hoping the club stick with him and more importantly I hope he wants to stick with us.
A fully fit Ferguson is worth a lot more than the 20 million ISH we'd probably get for him right now.
