RDZ got the best out of him FH seems at best disinterested but Evan has done nothing for a very long time. Championship player

Imagine Ferguson played for another Prem team for the last 18 months.

I doubt many would want to sign him if we were then reported as interested. That might answer the question as to whether we should sell him.

A loan is risky as could lower his value even further. IF Bloom is willing to sell he is effectively betting that a loan won't see a resurgence in Fergusons form.

Not sure why people are suddenly speculating that we are wanting to sell him anyway.

I expect a few clubs have approached us (including Potter) but being ‘open to bids’ as Naylor tweeted earlier, is not saying we will sell or even intend to - getting a feel for his market value may even be part of the Club negotiating an appropriate loan agreement for him.

Naylor wouldn't have put it out there that were open to selling if the club didn't want him to.

You might be right but at 20 it’s too early to write him off. The lack of news makes us speculate about his fitness and health but maybe the club realise they have a gem and are protecting him ……. Or maybe not. I guess we’ll learn more with what happens in the next week or so. Unfortunately for Evan, FH seems to like mobile, technical, interchangeable players who attack from wide positions. Evan feeds off the quality of other players, however in his more recent games he was bullied by defenders who got to the ball before him.

He’ll learn but need someone to learn from. Zamora?

Bournemouth are keen - and their recruitment has been brilliant for the past two years, not to mention Arsenal, Tottenham, the two previous manager's he's played under with Marseille and West Ham interested. So, if he played for another team, we might well be looking at him.

Exactly.

The club will say they never comment on transfer rumour which, apart from when Caicedo-gate reached its peak, is something they adhere to.

However, what they do is utilise trusted proxies to get messages out to the fanbase, as it's in the club's interests to manage fan expectations at certain times.

There have been occasions when I'd get a text, email or call with "Off the record, it would be helpful if you could say..." and times when it's apparent from Andy Naylor's output that he has received the very same message.

These days, it very much suits the club to allow Andy to accrue ITK points from fans while getting out a message they want shared.

We dont really know who is actually keen. It's all speculation.

Naylor wouldn't have put it out there that were open to selling if the club didn't want him to.
But genuine question, how is this:

Brighton are also open to the possibility of selling Ferguson at the right price if the circumstances suit both the club and the player.” which is what Naylor actually said in his article

different to anything TB and PB have always said?

Whenever PB has done podcasts he has repeatedly trotted out the same line in general when talking about selling players/big clubs swooping in and says the Club’s policy has always been to be open to selling players if the price is right and the player wants to leave.

We don’t know that Evan has said he wants to leave and we don’t know the amount that the club would be willing to sell for if he did - there’s a lot of speculation on a paucity of actual information is all.

I don’t pine for him, if you didn’t enjoy some of the best football we’ve ever played then that’s on you not me. Someone said to me last night we used to be Bournemouth going into every game thinking we can win this playing sublime football.
You lot hyperventilated at the thought of a Potter return in the summer.
What a load of rubbish, I never advocated Potter coming back because of the toxic atmosphere that would pervade the Amex after a couple of bad performances. Would I have been OK with him coming back, yep but I never expected it or wanted it

All posts are on NSC, find me one where I have championed Potter coming back. I might have said I wouldn’t be averse but would have followed it up with “it won’t work”

Zamora? What do I need to listen to him for?
