I do feel like over the last few years for some fans this club has become more about transfers than actually developing talent. Are we just writing Evan off because we can bring in a shiny new toy, I don't find that particularly interesting, the whole point of building this academy was to build talent that would be here for years firing us to glory.
Remember, Ferguson was only signed 3 years ago. It's not like he's a long time academy product like say, Hinshelwood or Rushworth.

My preference would be for us to keep Ferguson and sign, for example, Tzimas, because Welbeck can't play forever and you need two top players to compete for that one spot at least and I think Ferguson still absolutely has what it takes. That said, he needs game time and it cannot come at the expense of the best for the team.

The academy is always there for dual purposes, to get players into the first team and to make money.

I’m sure his loss of form is largely attributed to all of his injuries but it’s alarming to see the drop off compared to where he was. Perhaps all not great behind scenes or maybe it’s just confidence etc. Real shame if he does leave the club as thought he would be leading the line for a few years to come
I think it'll be a damn shame if he does go.
I agree with you about the confidence issue, but he came up through the Albion ranks and seemed a dead cert to become an Albion legend.
I quote Greavesie that football is a funny old game.

I'm hoping that the club saying they are "open to permanent offers" just means - well if someone bids silly money then lets have a look. Rather than ...he's for sale. Still think he's going on loan.
Same as taking the Reserve off at an auction. Will probably flush out the serious contenders.
He's been shit for a long time. Take someone's money and run.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, he'll be playing in League One in 5 years time.
f*** off

A loan makes sense permanently doesn’t unless the offer really is too good to turn down.
He’s has all the attributes to be a top striker and he can clearly score goals. To continue developing he needs minutes on the pitch at the top level uninterrupted for a few months. Hopefully he can then put his injuries and fitness issues behind him.

Is that legitimate money, or part of the 'BarberOUT!' Greed agenda? ???

As far as Evan is concerned, and generally as a club, we seem to have a struggle giving anyone a run of games, for various objective, and subjective reasons.
Evan has great potential, if injury and team selection allow.
I'll stand corrected. But I found a league table (which I couldn't attach to a previous post) which for last season showed us top by a country mile for the most changed starting line-ups for 23/24 season.
Be interested if anyone can find one for season to date, I cannot.

Because we have a squad absolutely full of attacking talent. No squad on the planet like that would have every single attacker happy. It would be a problem if they were!
If they were seasoned pro’s you would have a point, neither have been guaranteed starters yet both seemed happy to be here and play when required.

Which part is bullshit?

I don’t see a single NSCer pining for Potter anywhere near as much as you pine for RDZ, not a day goes by when you don’t make your love and regret about his departure very obvious.
I don’t pine for him, if you didn’t enjoy some of the best football we’ve ever played then that’s on you not me. Someone said to me last night we used to be Bournemouth going into every game thinking we can win this playing sublime football.
You lot hyperventilated at the thought of a Potter return in the summer.

We are f***ing mad letting him go. We go into the 2nd half of the season looking weaker in our squad and reliant on the fitness of Welbeck, we've been shit at home at had poor performances in front of goal, in fact, we've digressed this season, I feel.

We have failed Ferguson I think in not giving him game time, yet another questionable feat from the manager/club.

Tbh I'd be fuming if we sold him. He'll be the next Gyokeres, mark my word.

I hope I eat these words and we have an excellent addition lined up, I'm still not happy about loaning out Encisco, either.

And his been injured/ill for one of those years.

Justice has a Marseille top that he has painted blue stripes on. Some of the stipes are blurred through the dripping tears as he worked.

We've all been there @Justice, sometimes its hard to move on. Time is a great healer and all that.

Sadly Evan is a permanent sick note and has scored 1 goal in 15 months. We would be lucky to get £ 5 million for him now

He doesn’t help himself by looking mardy and not putting in the effort. Why? I have no idea but he has looked way way off being a PL striker for us and Ireland, one quality goal aside. Players that stop trying go the same way as managers who give up, however good they might have been pre whatever their problems are.

I know both Evan and RDZ’s fall from grace are bones of contention for you though, but it’s up to the club how it’s dealt with. We just have to trust TB, he is as big a fan as you or I and he’s doing his talking with his wallet
Doesn't mean he can't do wrong! We are allowed to criticise the club, particularly when weird transfer decisions are being made and the manager plays Webster up top.

Sorry, I don't buy this.

When he has appeared he has looked disinterested, and knowing BHA I'm sure he has been given every support.

Time for him to explore new avenues.

The few times he has played in the last 15 months he was not at the races in any game
