The problem is basically that our short overs game has overtaken tests for the paying publc/TV and as a result our batsmen are not able to build an innings they eitherscorea decent total at a very quick rate or are out cheaply. A lot of th test btasmen would do well to study Mark Ramprakash and his approach to batting.

That would the same Ramprakash who on numerous occasions showed at Test Level he was incapable of building a sandcastle let alone an innings.

And came running down the track to Warne like a dervish utterly unable to deal with the patience and pressure at that level.

He is wonderful batsman - but a county bully the smarmy little Michael Flatley lover

This is bollocks, SA play just as much limited over cricket as us. Our current problem is that, Flintoff aside, most of our key players are either injured out out of form and the selectors aren't exactly helping things.

Ramprakash had a very average test career and never realised his potential at this level, so he's hardly a great example.
