I'd argue it's costing us goals and him assists. I understand why you'd pick out Ayari, but Welbeck, Rutter and Pedro are also about. Hope it clicks still, he's obviously very good but it hasn't happened since his earlier days, much like Ferguson in a way but he's had fewer opportunities.
I'd refute that argument. If w ehad a couple of great finishers, that we want the opportunity to fall to, then maybe your statement would be correct.
But Welbeck/Pedro/Giorginio aren't that player.

Continually probing for an opening doesn't realy lead to a lot of high Xg opportunities.
The eventual xg from every time we refuse a shot and pass instead is still pretty tiny.
Most of those attacks don't end with a high xg opportunity.
They are far more likely to end without a shot of any description.

Having one player capable of hitting the target from long shots, gives us a variety of threats.

Atalanta have money, they don't splash it about willy nilly but they've made lots of big sales themselves over the last few years.

Similar things were said about Stuttgart, but in the end they coughed up the €30m for Undav that we wanted.
I'm always annoyed when Atalanta are in the race for our players. They have a really good recruitment going and have a habit of turning rough diamonds....erm, more diamondey. They've got themselves into Europe and a title race.

If theyre after a player I'd say its one you want to keep!

Surprised he would go to Valencia considering they are very much in a relegation dogfight, though there are signs of improvement under Corbreran. Despite being bottom I still doubt they'll go down and Julio would be a massive asset for them.

Might be the perfect place for him, from our point of view. Likely to get lots of minutes, and they will require players who are 'team players' willing to work hard, and do the hard graft tracking back as well as providing an attacking threat. He could get more of an all round education there.

This all seems to go against what RDZ was building , Enciso - Buonanotte - and Sarmiento were all for the current season with RDZ , but FH doesn`t seem to want to give them the time . All I can see is these highly talented lads going on loan (at a lower level in Sarmiento`s case ) and deciding they don`t want to return , we will already have a fight on our hands to get Facu back because FH didn`t recognise the quality he had .

If we think how quickly we lost players to injury in the second half of last season , we need players like Enciso , and he needs more than just a new contract and a promise of more time when he is a year older .

Enciso is a bloody good player who gives his all on the pitch , he is also a tad greedy with the ball in front of goal sometimes , but given a string of games he will prove both his true class and his quality as a goal scorer and a goal maker .

I think it's more to do with the fact Facu and Enciso play in the no. 10 position, currently filled by Pedro (£30m), Rutter (£40m) and O'Riley (£35m).

The question is, over which does Enciso start? At the moment, O'Riley, but he's nowhere near Rutter or Pedro

Facu's quality was recognised. We gave him a new contract just before the move, and it was made very clear this was a development loan rather than a 'we dont want you anymore' loan. I doubt we'll have to do much to get him motivated to be back in our side given Leicester are looking set for relegation.
