Part of me wonders whether getting those screamers against City and Chelsea so early in his career have hurt his development as he seems to think he’ll stick it in the top corner from anywhere, whereas actually that’s not how it works at all?
I can't fault him for putting in the effort today; he was certainly trying a lot more than some of our other players. However, his decision-making was poor. I liked how he would always pop up in the right positions but his ability on the ball, whether finishing or passing, is lacklustre. He needs to get up to speed quickly as the Premier League is not forgiving. Perhaps he is better off with a loan, or should we just let him go?
