Not seen this lad play. Can he make the step up? Squad player? Eventual starter?
Very good with his feet, captain at a young age. But not the tallest (just under 6ft I think ?)

left sided centre half, never gives up, good range of passing, Rams most saleable asset that they may need to sell to fund other signings - if they go down he will be off in the summer whatever

Okay with his feet, has been captain on occasion and, yes, 6 foot. Still find it really odd that Brighton are in for him but what do I know?!? Playing well toward the bottom of the championship not I'm not convinced he's a PL player.

Perhaps our recruitment team have been playing too much FC25?

I thought Igor was looking every bit a Prem quality defender in the games before his injury. Bad timing for him.
Yes, and was a very big part of our success in Europe last year. He's obviously good enough to be a squad player if not a starter at PL level.

He is turning 27 and probably has a nice money spinning move left in him when he comes back from injury - can't be overjoyed at being 4th or 5th choice CB at the peak of your career and he's handled himself wonderfully at the Albion.

could be bye bye for Igor if this chap comes in then. He's never looked quite comfortable here, unfortunately.
On the contrary, before his injury, he was beginning to look far more comfortable in a CB position than a LB which is how we were using him last season to cover for Pervis.

I would say it is more likely we would be looking to alternate/rotate Dunk in with Cashin next season (if reports posted here on on the transfer thread are to be believed and it’s a 99% deal) and keep giving Igor match time -

I've never really got this narrative on Igor. In terms of performance, he's never let us down, but even in the last dregs of the de Zerbi era, when Dunk was in arguably his worst patch of form for the club, Igor seemed to get all the flack from fans.

He's always been a more than able PL defender just not at LB, which is arguably fair given he's built like a tank

Not really. We need a deeper pool of CBs, as we know FH likes to play 3 ATB sometimes. With Dunk coming towards the end especially, we're 100% looking light in that department. Webster has a recent history of reasonably spells out with injury as well.
