Well that was a hell of a Fridat night drinking thread.

Things to remember, Trump didn’t start this nightmare. Blame it on Putin, and the Biden administration, you, and Europe who stood by, watched, and did nothing.

We had Macron and Starmer over here, you lot gushing how they played Trump like a fiddle, caressing his gigantic ego. Then you have Billy big bollocks over here, in his war costume, begging for cash, and telling the c***ts
how it’s going to be. You all acclaim him as a master of diplomacy, a true hero of our times. He got booted out the front door with nothing. What a diplomat.

So where are we now? Starmer, we’re behind you to the end? A war you can’t afford and will never end? NATO troops on the ground and WW3?

Fu**ing hell.

You usually contribute to the conversation?
I generally respond to posts that I disagree with rather than a general rant at 'you lot', I also try not to disappear when people ask me tricky questions.

Your reputation is fast diminishing and you are exposing yourself as someone who posts in bad faith.

Its hard to defend the indefesible though, so I get it.

Thanks for the invitation, but as I say I have learned it is a waste of time with a bad faith poster, you'll disapppear again when the conversation gets tricky.

Trump’s fondness for the Royal Family comes down to one person, and it’s not King Charles.

For this next state visit they’ll bring out the big guns. He’ll be straight down the pizza express in Woking with his old friend Uncle Andrew.
Rubbish. Andrew has no status, so no more interest to Trump than you or (thankfully) me.

That's one take on it I guess. The world on the brink and some dickhead in the white house is asking about a suit!!

Globally, Trump was seen as a diplomatic nightmare, Vance as his ignorant stooge.

Trump didn't start the war, Putin did. Trump could stop the war but is choosing not to as he tries to extort wealth from Ukraine.

Oh you’re back.

You didn’t answer my last question

What does your best friends Ukrainian brother in Laws father (or whatever distant made up relative it was) think of Zelensky.
We know what you think
But what does your distant relative Ukrainian think?

By the way, how come you’re in Las Vegas - or is that just a stage name?

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
The Americans only ever join in a war late and when they can be sure they are on the winning side
Korea and Vietnam show that isn’t true.

Trump was accused of saying he didn’t want to visit the American cemeteries which were full of ‘suckers and losers’ , or was it raining and he didn’t want to mess up his hair?

Now 9,000,000 veterans are worried about the Federal Veterans Affairs are being messed around by Musk.

Europe and the Biden administration have hardly done 'nothing'. Wtf are you talking about?
Of course, everyone blames Putin for the war. Who hasn't? Oh.... Trump and Vance. Trump, on the other hand, has called Zelensky a dictator, but refused to call Putin a dictactor. Trump wants to be Putin - he dreams of having the kind of power Putin has. Trump disgustingly 'trash talked' (to use an american term) Zelensky multiple times in the run-up to his visit, all the while playing up the aggressor. Would that not rile you up as a leader of a country which has been the victim of said aggressor the last 3 years? Would you not already have a short fuse, then snap when you are then cornered and bullied, told how you should feel and act, in front of the world's media, in the most stereotypical American brash/loudmouth/ignorant manner? (I know not all Americans are like this ftr). I'm surprised he didn't lamp Trump, to be honest. It was absolutely disgusting.

Trump/Vance and the rest of those cronies are dispicable human beings - in two months they've managed to turn pretty much the whole western world against America. Well done - let's see it plays out acting in the way they are, bullying pretty much the rest of the world.... apart from the likes of Russia.

They don't really give a shit about the war anyway - they want the minerals for Musk. They don't really give a shit about Gaza - he wants a new Trump paradise on the Med and f*** the Palestinians whose home it is. I could go on. And zelensky also knows this - he went into the meeting in am impossible situation, knowing he and Ukraine are getting screwed either way - Trump and Vance 100% want to end the war on Putin and their terms.

I think the world hoped even up until the last minute that Putin’s ‘special military operation’ was just a show of force rather than a full scale invasion.

The US had been supplying/selling weapons to Ukraine in a significant scale since 2014. From 2022 all the polls, from Democrats through to Republicans saw the Russian invasion as an existential threat and supported the US’s support of Ukraine.

Until Trump took power, Zelenskyy was seen as a heroic leader he had rallied his country to resist the invasion by an aggressor.

Only now in the last weeks and months as the new President changed the narrative, meeting Putin as a friend, calling Zelenskyy a dictator and corrupt, has the tide of US opinion turned so we get posts like yours.

The unity of opinion on this forum, that you refer to as ‘all you lot’ or all of you, are from posters that normally are political opposites. I’m ticking likes and posters I’m normally arguing with. This isn’t some blindness of NSC, this is that the MAGA movement, the actions of Trump and his followers are so abhorrent, so far from any of our collective sensibilities that most can spot what is going on - and that is one wannabe dictator siding with another.

Macron, Starmer et al know Trump is a transient leader of the US as they are their own countries. They have to put their personal feelings aside and deal with this leader and if that means massaging his delicate narcissistic ego, then so be it. A world that works together, trades together, has common goals is surely a better place than one that doesn’t.

As for your rant about Zelenskyy, he went there cap in hand, in the face of unprecedented public insults from an ally, gets insulted while in the room, all the while his countrymen are dying by the thousands and you call him having a gigantic ego.

Perhaps this war can be negotiated to an end, that Ukraine have to be convinced to give up some land and some sort of programme of Ukrainian citizens who want to be relocated can be etc. BUT that shouldn’t happen from bullying and blackmailing the victim, it’s Putin that should be forced to accept unfavourable terms not Zelenskyy.

Your post is a disgrace frankly, full of appeasement rhetoric and trying to make Ukraine the bad guys. I wish you luck in your desire for a new found US - Putin alliance. There is clearly no value you feel in freedom, democracy and a just cause.

Okay, let’s have you’re sober take, “my friend “.
Are you disrespecting the great NSC office ? You have been invited here and this is how respond. You don't even wear an Avatar. (Although I think that L looks great, the best)

Don't forget, Bozza holds all the cards. I think you should come back when you are a bit more conciliatory. Although I'm glad you made that comment, it meant everyone could see what we are dealing with...

Have you watched the whole 30/40 minutes? It looks to me like Zelenskyy went on tilt.. everything was very cordial for half an hour he was getting the money he needed and it honestly looks like he blew it up deliberately… his ambassador has her head in her hands.

My pause for thought moment is thst it is entirely possible that Putin is a c*** Trump is a c*** and Zelenskyy is a c***

Because one person is opposed to another on the world stage doesn’t make them one good one bad re: Corbyn/Boris Trump/Hillary

Excellent post. When Robert Jenrick and the Mail on Sunday take an opposite view to trump you know something is going on!

You missed what Zelenskyy had been called in the lead up to this meeting?

You watched Zelenskyy in any other meeting over the 3 years react like this? Have you seen Trump and Vance act like complete dicks before? Time to smell the coffee.
