With Benitez in charge, there's no way Abramovic will get the champagne football he seems to crave.

yep, 3 league titles in 7 years, 3 fa cups,2 league cups, champions league winners , absolute joke , and please dont give me some old bollocks about not swapping it for the integrity, and "real fans" of brighton ( the 2nd result i look for) 20,000 of you that go now couldnt be bothered to get to the withdean.

wouldn't have got 20,000 in Withdean mate - you ever paid for a ticket to get into the Amex ?

I would be surprised if Guardiola goes there - he left Barca in the Summer saying he was burnt out from all the pressure and wanted a rest, so why would he put himself into a situation not 6 months later of working with the 21st century version of Jesus Gil (1990's Atletico Madrid chairman who changed managers more frequently than most people changed their underwear)?

I think this hire-and-fire approach by Abramovich will hurt Chelsea going forward - top level managers will take one look at the laundry list of short-term predecessors and think "f*** that for a game of soldiers", even taking into account the money that Roman will throw at them.

That is more success in 7 years than in Chelsea's entire history. How many managers in that same period - 8, 9, depending on how you view caretakers?

How can a club that is having the most successful time in it's history be so consistently embroiled in so much turmoil? It really does beggar belief.

Well,if Rafa doesn't get it,and Pep refuses it,and Becks doesn't fancy it,and it's too soon for Terry, and Gus is too loyal.......then only one viable candidate remains.

Step forward Charlie Oatway.

It is astonishing really. To be perfectly honest, I thought at the start of this season Chelsea had been playing the most attractive, free flowing attacking football since Roman had bought the club. A 1 month slump and you're basically gone as a Chelsea manager.

I can't believe some people are saying 'Who would want to go there?' You get a huge payday and you won't exactly struggle to find a club willing to employ you.

you'd do well to get to work before f***ing midday before you give it the large one ! and in answer to your question, yes i have, and the withdean was sold out every week was it ?

Did you ever go to Withdean? For the 10th game in a row when it was absolutely pissing down with rain? Or were you too busy not attending 'The Bridge' when your club was getting about an eighth of the attendances it now gets?

What is it with people desperate to use Withdean as a stick to beat Brighton fans with? Those that know, know that Withdean's attendances were f***ing miraculous considering some of the dross we had to watch in desperate conditions. I wonder how many of today's new Chelsea fans would have put up with Withdean-like conditions? Premier League Chelsea only averaged 18,700 in 1992/93-that is probably a good indicator. That also makes it that 23,000 of you couldn't be bothered to watch Chelsea in the top division so enough of the Billy Big Bollocks please.

Maybe chopping and changing managers works!

Why do we need a 22,500 stadium when all we get is 6,500 fans-

We managed to average 2,500 & 3,200 at Gillingham in the lowest division-could be argued why did we need Withdean?

You don't need permission to support a club, so we could swap if we wanted. The fact that we choose to support our local club should tell you that we wouldn't swap.

20,000 of you that go now couldnt be bothered to get to the withdean.
Are you another of those Palace fans in disguise?

This! When we were at our worst, it wasn't even like watching football at the Withdean. It was a similar sort of game, but one where passing wasn't allowed. I couldn't believe so many of us kept going.
