TBH, Chelsea did not so much win it but played " rope a dope " with the opposition and got really lucky, Abramovitch wants to actively win with style rather than by being last man standing.

This. His handling of the Terry case was shocking as well. How much coaching did the manner of the Chelsea win actually need?

Doesn't really matter hoe they won it fact is he was the one who brought back all the senior players that AVB had fallen out with. Got the team playing for each other and, in the end, capped some amazing backs to the wall with classic hit and run goals.

Abramovitch is a hard hard taskmaster.

They are a joke of a club, the only reason you would go there to manage the club would be the payoff when you inevitably get sacked.

Am i suprised? Not really. it's chelsea.
Is this a rushed decision? Certainly looks that way.
Would it have been better to wait until the end of the season? I think so yes.
Was Di Matteo the man to lead chelsea for the next 5-10 years? No i think Abramovich should make himself manager or JT manager to save everyone the hassle time after time.

Di Matteo is a slightly above average manager (better than mark hughes etc though.). He clearly knew how to motivate an old chelsea team last season and with a lot of luck won the champs league BUT for me Drogba really lead the team last season with his performances. He was simply on another planet in the champs league which spurred on the whole club! No question they deserved the champs league last season BUT would they have won it without Di Matteo? I think so yes. I think they could have won it managerless last season.

This. Uninspiring, insipid club. Whatever soul it might once have possessed was ripped out long ago. (Sorry Bushy). Summed up now by these idiots you see wandering around town in their Chelsea winter coats.

If not already, fast becoming the worst job in football.

Real Madrid are struggling (by their standards) in La Liga, not even in 2nd place far less top....what price a 'special' return to the Bridge?
