People should be given to the choice to EITHER vote on X factor/Big brother etc etc OR to VOTE in elections. That would certainly sort the wheat from the chaff. (Illiterate goat herders cannot vote in either).

thats not a bad plan although it would in effect reverse all the suffragettes achieved overnight.

yeah if people from other parts of the world turn up on your island and turn it upside down only good things will come of it if you keep your mind open. ;-)

Quite right, they should have been more open minded about it all, they'd all be happy now!

Which is the best part of the plan.

The fallout from empire is still with us is it ? Quite how this leads you to believe its perfectly natural for citizens of former colonies we left 70 odd years ago to be able to vote in general elections is puzzling me.

Well it encouraged movement of people between countries and reciprocal agreement which are still in place. This results in the FACT that if people live in the Uk for a certian length f time and meet ther criteria they can vote in the elections. Kind of what has been discussed for a couple of pages.

snigger !

Don't laugh Bushy. What if all the Aussies got sent back to their country of origin? Britain would have more bloody foreigners, although most of them would be white and many of them would be racist so you probably wouldn't mind too much ;)

You're trying to equate the situation in northern ireland with 12 year old children hacking limbs from members of rival tribes ?? you absolute joke :lolol:.

I said not in the same numbers. However nail bombing innocent women and children because you don't like their religion is exactly the same thing brutality wise.

Yes , I can see how detonating a bomb from from 200 metres away and not hanging around to see the results is exactly the same as hacking off limbs with a machete , or disembowelling a pregnant woman with a knife , what f***ing planet are you on ? What happened in Rwanda and in various other parts of Africa is endemic, engrained in their culture , no doubt I'll have the racist police criticising me for saying it but it's true for large slices of the african continent, the only thing in any way comparable in northern ireland was the shankill butchers , who were an isolated case , a group of psychos suddenly given an excuse to indulge their sick behaviour.

You make a good point, but what i don't know is whether illiterate goat herders can use mobile phones or not. I am waiting with baited breath for the answer to that discussion.
Commander can you spread some light on this one as our resident expert on Illiterate goat herders (or Ugandans as I believe they are also known as)

How is everybody else doing with Bushy Bingo? I just need "how about we meet for a quiet chat about it outside the Amex? and "nappy throwing" and I am there!

A goat herder does not need to be that literate to use a mobile phone. All they need to do is remember the code for a "Please Call Me" and the number of the person they want to speak to, who may have airtime.
And the speaking too loudly bit is so that those around them know that they are not talking about them.

Is that really true ?? Seriously, I have NEVER seen an african on a mobile speaking at normal volume.

Is it coz they is black?

Seriously though do you have any biological or psychological studies to prove this or did you learn it from your observations in inner city london?

You should read up on 19th and 20th century European history, including the behaviour of colonial powers abroad, before saying such stupid things.

Tell me what i've said that is stupid in that post ? According to your standards , because we committed atrocities in the 19th and 20th centuries , we have no right to judge people who do the same now , am I right ?

No, I just watch the news.

As long as you haven't cobbled together some half baked theory based on little factual evidence.

You're the one questioning it , you prove it isnt, you can cite th atrocities in the 2nd world wor or more recently is bosnia, but they aren't happening all the time , they , for the want of a better word are isolated incidents, what happens in africa, does so with depressing regularity.

Can I just confirm what you are saying? Are you saying that genocide is part of Rwandan culture?

I was told this, but have just confirmed that it is an urban myth - the lady I just asked said that African people that speak loudly do so because they want to be understood without repeating themselves. But it does seem that a high proportion speak loudly as a matter of course - I often think there is an argument going on, then listen to what they are saying and they are just having a normal conversation. Oddly, they speak at normal volume when speaking to me.

Chopping people up with machetes seems to be very much part of AFRICAN culture yes, I wont bother posting links , you can do your own googling, but we all know what has gone on in sierra leone, uganda, rwanda and a host of other places in africa, and if you want my honest opinion , genocide might not be ingrained in the culture , but i wouldn't definitely say it isnt, like it or not, and I fully expect to be flamed for this , africans , in general , and with exceptions , are way , way behind a lot of the world in terms of civilisation.
