It might be a consequence - but that's not what he said. He said, "So what you're saying is the reason the club make you list on the ticket exchange or share with a MyAlbion+ Member is because it's the only way they can make money out of the situation?"

So it's not 'the reason' the club 'make' you list on the exchange or share.
It’s one of the reasons, I wasn’t saying it’s the only reason, I started my post with….and make money, which isn’t wrong.
The club are making money when ST holders list their tickets and making more money out of ST holders when they share their ST more than once.

Well they could but I would far prefer empty seats than the amount of fans/tourists who went home on 90 mins in my section of the NS today, never seen anything like it for a game at 1-1
Atrocious weather, I left on 92mins from the NS and have only just got home. Sometimes those few mins ahead of the curve make an enormous difference in circumstances. If you’re old an infirm, I wouldn’t want to wait 30-40mins in freezing and wet conditions.

I was talking about people who are not usually there, clearly in my area the were lots of non st holders in seats where sth usually sit and many of those were the ones leaving at 90 minutes

I think the reasons suggested above your post to why some ST holders have maybe listed their ticket for this evening’s game, not all the winter or when it’s on tv games.
It’s not going to be fun in the queue for trains and buses later.

So he’ll only go if he can get a freebie 🤷‍♂️
I pay for my ST, if I can’t go and wanted a mate to go I’d not charge them. The club get my money anyway.

None of which would benefit the club though, the club already have the money for the seat, the food and drink income goes straight to Sodexo.
Don't the club take a cut? Pretty sure I read about that a few years ago.

Sodexo have the contract for the concessions but the more they sell they more they - and the club - take.

Yes, but your mate would still need to pay for an Albion+ membership first before you could transfer your ST to him - which is what my lads do - but the mate of the person I replied to wouldn’t.

The club must get a cut I reckon. No way I can see them just taking a flat fee from Sodexo.
Original deal was a fixed flat fee I believe - one of the reasons Ken Brown didn’t last.

I’m sure Barbs now has an appropriate deal in place

But that like saying that you are a tradesman who gets discount from a certain supplier because you are a loyal customer, then letting a friend use your discount. That’s totally missing the point.
It’s your ST, sold to you at a discount because of your loyalty. Why should your friend be able to use it at no extra cost when another fan would have to pay full price?
The discounted ST is to allow YOU to go to matches and use the free travel scheme. Not your mate.

If they are concerned about empty seats then make ticket sharing easier as we all know friends who would have the ticket if you can’t make it. Why should they be forced to pay on the exchange ?

SELLING every seat would be priority, then FILLING every seat.

Allowing friends to (easily) take your heavily discounted tickets on the cheap would devalue tickets, lead to fewer ST sales and reduce chance of sell-outs - as I wittered on about here.
