None of which would benefit the club though, the club already have the money for the seat, the food and drink income goes straight to Sodexo.
So what you're saying is the reason the club make you list on the ticket exchange or share with a MyAlbion+ Member is because it's the only way they can make money out of the situation?

Mine just gone on the exchange as I can't make it at late notice. West Upper, single seat, middle of a row

Absolutely no chance of it selling given the timing and it's position. Whereas if I could just transfer it to my friend from work who would happily go but doesn't want to pay £40-odd to become a member, the seat would be filled and he'd spend some money on beer and food
Unfortunately, listing it 90 mins before kick off after most people have left for the game, there's a very good chance it won't sell. Now obviously I know you wouldn't do this, but what if your 'friend' were an Arsenal plastic ???

I wouldn't share with him, given an Albion fan of over 40 years who sits a couple of rows in front ended up with a ban for the final few games of last season a when she told an Arsenal fan in the home end exactly what she thought when they celebrated a goal

Not the sort of firework which you want to relight! Although if an Arsenal fan ends up buying my seat for tonight...

Pretty much 😂 Like thousands of other people's friends/colleagues/family members judging by the number of tickets put up on the exchange
Both of my adult sons are Albion+ members. They buy their own tickets for games and I transfer to them on the rare occasions I can’t go. They don’t expect freebies.

As I said, obviously you wouldn't. But I'm just pointing out that the rules exist because others might, as your story about the fan of over 40 years shows

Off to the match

I didn't say that but I suppose what you've said is very true. They can sell a ticket on the exchange for a full adult one-off price.

We are now over 1k tickets on the exchange of which about 50 are lounges.

Yes the club has already had the money but having so many no shows for a game against the team second in the epl is interesting.

On live TV, saves people dedicating many hours to a trip out.

Their league position (from a relentless huge spend), in conjunction with rubbish Amex results for us, another tipping point.

I guess we have a hard core of fans, but have also picked up a lot of fair weather types since we started doing well. I’m guessin, a lot of these tickets are from the latter section of our support.

Used to be young, used to be hardcore......Going tonight but wouldn`t if 7.30 pm kick off. Going to be a cold and wet evening. Hoping for a win to brighten the evening up.

I suspect it's more likely people are just away. We go away every Christmas and New Year because I hate Christmas. Ticket sold on the exchange almost instantly though.

I think it’s a combination of a number of factors - including people becoming unwell close to the game. Lots of really bad flu doing the rounds.
Hospitals are at breaking point due to covid, flu etc, it's no surprise loads people are home ill and should they really be expected to put their ST on the exchange, I sure plenty have made a late decision whether to come or not.

They can make a late decision to just the ticket!

I was watching on the tv. I don't have a ST & go to matches when I can afford to, which atm seems a long way away. This usually means I pay extra as I buy the tickets from the exchange & there are no concessions for Jnr.
Someone above said there were 1000+ tickets on the exchange for tonight, at 66 minutes there was a full ESL & NS so those 1000 must have been well spread out.
People listing on the exchange benefits me greatly when there are 2 together.
As for what happened to the persons friend on the other thread & his seat being relisted without his knowledge, I think that's really out of order. I'd have felt really bad if I had bought one of those tickets & then found out here later that someone didn't know they were actually selling them. It's morally wrong for the club to do that.
I don't think that asking people to attend 5 matches in person over the season is too much of an ask though but even then, most people don't buy a ST with the intention of not going. The club before have used a sledgehammer to crack a nut, could it be an anti touting thing? People who aren't putting them on the exchange might be holding on to them to sell somewhere else. That's not my thinking, I'm just wondering what theory the club is using to justify selling someone's seat on the exchange without them knowing is.

And make more money like he has said
It might be a consequence - but that's not what he said. He said, "So what you're saying is the reason the club make you list on the ticket exchange or share with a MyAlbion+ Member is because it's the only way they can make money out of the situation?"

So it's not 'the reason' the club 'make' you list on the exchange or share.
