We are now over 1k tickets on the exchange of which about 50 are lounges.

Yes the club has already had the money but having so many no shows for a game against the team second in the epl is interesting.
Must be a time of year thing, only reason I can think of

In my case, two tickets went on the exchange about two hours ago as the physio I saw this morning to help with a bad back (bad enough to have missed three other home games) made it worse.

Wasn’t a dig at any individuals, more a comment on the large number

Reasons I can think of.

Fans that can’t go have seen this thread, and the other similar one
Fans have had the dreaded email warning from the club.
People on holiday.
Plenty of flu around at the moment.
It’s on tv.
Some people don’t like the cold.
Home form is shite at the moment.

Why would you buy a season ticket in the first place if
A; rather watch on TV
B; not liking the cold when a reasonable chunk of the season is played during the winter?

Cold is one thing, but driving long distance (or any distance at all) in forecast snowy/icy/treacherous conditions is another.

I think the reasons suggested above your post to why some ST holders have maybe listed their ticket for this evening’s game, not all the winter or when it’s on tv games.
It’s not going to be fun in the queue for trains and buses later.

All of this, plus large, protracted passages of play in PL games are crushingly dull.

The arse end of Hangleton
PL rules now state that a club must know who is sitting in each seat.
Really ? I purchased guest tickets without giving the name of my guests. Equally what about corporate tickets - the company don't have to name the person using the ticket.

Mine just gone on the exchange as I can't make it at late notice. West Upper, single seat, middle of a row

Absolutely no chance of it selling given the timing and it's position. Whereas if I could just transfer it to my friend from work who would happily go but doesn't want to pay £40-odd to become a member, the seat would be filled and he'd spend some money on beer and food

None of which would benefit the club though, the club already have the money for the seat, the food and drink income goes straight to Sodexo.

If the ticket wasn't there how would the frisker on the turnstyle be able to tell him the ticket had been sold?
Wouldn't have been at the turnstile he was told as at the turnstile it doesn't say what went wrong. The lights would have just gone red and he would have been sent to the ticket office who can actually check things fully.

So he’ll only go if he can get a freebie 🤷‍♂️
