Black Lives Matter have copyrighted any and all things that matter. You cannot say anything matters anymore without fully subscribing to any and all view of the Black Lives Matter organisation. Importantly when considering if things matter it is vital that no-one concedes that all things matter. One may assume that there could be a hierarchy of things mattering but this really doesn't hold true. It was Buddy Holly who first suggested that things no longer matter but the scientists have heavily disputed this, especially physicists from space. The space physicists have proven that matter matters and have described this as the crickets paradox. Thus proving that All things (which include lives) matter. This is why the BLM organisation have had to buy the copyright using the donations of democrats from all corners of the globe.

Mate, they'll cancel anything that lot. Trouble is if they cancel all this nonsense they will end up extraneous. . . and they won't want that.

That is why they will carry on with it all.

calm down for **** sake ........if you would care to broaden your horizon a tad BLM is an AMERICAN entity , it is about black American males being wiped out by an over zealous , self important , out of control , American justice industry .........players kneeling before a football game in England is doing absolutely sweet fa to change anything that goes on between black American males and their over zealous police officers......it is an American problem and needs to be sorted out in America ...it may well have escaped your attention that Britain was booming 4 years ago , what has actually happened in Britain to change that fact , apart from covid , you had Trump voted in in America ....an idiot , You had Johnson voted in in Britain , another whopper , black and white people have been getting on reasonably well over the last 15 years , we were all moving forward and the country was prospering at grass roots level ......well we cant have that can we , the ***** in charge want us in the gutter , regardless of colour , religion or sexual orientation ......wake the **** up mate , this is not about us , its about the ******** who are trying to control us .....and hopefully they are losing.

LOL. To think you started this piece with “calm down”

They’re looking good for automatic promotion; I hope their seats have sufficient leg room to enable me and my troupe to take a knee before next season’s game.

No, I don’t follow cricket. It’s just working class pursuits for me.

I think you need to google the East India Company. It was entirely about economics.

No one denies that it was Economically Driven - However, we had a Labour force in the UK. Why didn't they just put the ''Good People of Manchester to work for free and work them to death'' or the ''Good People of Leeds or Birmingham'' ?

Even that so called Bastion of the Abolition and the Free World that was Abraham Lincoln made the claim to Congress that the Black Man and Woman are only 3/5ths Human - And he is deemed to be '' one of the Good Guys '' - If he is one of the Good Guys, heaven forbid the thoughts of the ''Bad Guys''

Its got to the point where some racists prefer to keep the knee due to how its dividing people and causing more friction than there was.

More harm than good sometimes

The UK labour force wasn’t as cheap or as plentiful as the African labour force. Of course, racism was rife in this period and this enabled a collective turning of a blind eye to the atrocities of slavery but it is a stretch to claim it was some form of ethnic cleansing. Where I might agree with you is that some in the church may have seen it that way. Anyway, we digress. I support the taking of the knee if people want to do it and think I see it for what it is, which is a statement. Any players who wish to continue will do so. I am also of the view that it won’t change anything and may actually become a convenient alternative to actually doing something. It is also becoming just another political football for some to score points against their adversaries on other issues (evidence on this thread).

Something positive about our "friend" Mr Zaha

According to Rod Liddle's column in the Sunday Times Wilfried Zaha has said he finds being cajoled into taking a knee before matches "degrading". He has also objected to wearing T-shirts supportive of Black Lives Matter. He is fed up of "charades that mean nothing" believing that the kneeling business is simply a kind of virtue signalling. He also refuses to put his name to BLM campaigns. Apparently Zaha is not alone among players who feel uneasy about the whole knee business.

Well said Wilfried. We need more players to speak out against this nonsense, particularly black players..

A lot of cat 1 types like to accuse cat 2s of being cat 3s. Doesn’t help advance any cause but makes them feel good

Actually look across any football messageboard and you’ll find it’s the category 3 mob promoting these threads and the category 1 wearily having to respond by defending the players taking part. Pretty clear who has the agenda here pal

“Virtue Signalling” is the new trope from people who used to like saying “it’s political correctness gone mad” :glare:

Isn't Zaha the captain of Palace? Hasn't he been able to have this conversation with his team mates? Or is he the only one at Palace that feels like this?
