I would like to see a comparison of net profit between the pies we sell and e.g. Petters. Ours sell at £3.90 but cost how much? Petters sell at £3 perhaps and cost possibly less than £1.
I can't work out if you are for or against Piglet's.

Because that reads like a promo.

....

Also there must be many supporters who cannot afford £3.90 for a pie especially if being for more than 1 person.

Our pies per fan ratio surpasses every other football club!
Why do you see the need to get in an inferior product??

I am neither for or against Piglets as I dont buy them because>

a. I do not like them as I think that they are indigestible as they are too dry and need some or more gravy in them.
b Irrespective of them reputed to be a superior product I do not believe that they represent value for money.

Doesn't that make you against them?

That makes them nearer a sensible price but still not for me. I must admit I keep meaning to load smart card but always forget until its too late..
Then you can't complain about things costing so much money, when the club are giving you money off and you don't take it.

What about the people who don't have a smart card is it fair to them to be charged more although I can understand the added bonus of having one. I must get in the habit of loading it, which is rather unusual for me as I am always looking to save money.

Ok so balti pies are safe for a while, but is there any word on how many chilli pies they will be providing? So far I have seen no evidence of their existence.
Further the spicy Dutch meatball pie is the best pie (I may change my mind if I ever get hold of a chilli pie)

Being a STH I have never investigated such things.
Is there a stand alone discount card available?

If not, well such is life, if there is or you don't use your card properly then I don't see why everybody else should have to eat cheaper inferior products just because a small minority are idiots.

I can't imagine how much money the 10% has saved me, because even without out it, I'd still buy a brilliant locally sourced pie and pint, at the football.

I wouldn't buy a Pukka or whatever mass market pie, irrespective of money.

I'm with you. Have probably had about 5 pies at football in my entire life before The Amex opened. Now I have one at about 2/3 of the matches. If they were standard football ground shite, I just wouldn't bother,

PigletsPantry just replied to me on twitter that 'it won't be happening on her watch' so Balti pies will remain!!

Here, there and everywhere
Has anybody ever considered fazing out all of these pies and reverting to more traditional pies at an affordable price that during these harsh economic times

No way .. the pie is one of the highlights of going to the Amex. It's a shame you don't like them. My favourites so far have been beef & mushy peas, Christmas pie, chicken & ham and chicken balti.

And you can't really have pies with loads of gravy when you have to stand up and eat them.

They really should bring back the meat, potatoe and pea puree one, excellent pie and winter warmer. Only seen it once and thought it tasted great
