The thing is, I would have eaten some generic tosh occasionally at the football.
I would have bailed quickly if Pukka pie prices rose.
I'd occasional have a John Smiths if I fancied a beer and that was the only choice.

But now I have a pie and pint religiously every game, it is a part of the day out, because I love both, and have never had a bad one, of either.

Should the club decide to 'go corporate' and do the deal with the devil, I would actively refuse to buy anything.
I don't image for one minute, I'd be alone.

Like it or not (and I blooming well love it) The Albion are tied to Piglet's and Harveys, thankfully.

This with bells on.

That is what I thought but reading the post by superphil

'Does anyone really pay £3.90 for these? Use your smart card, £3.51, even better value.'

Doesn't give that impression as I had previously said I keep forgetting to load my card.

I say smart card, others say ecash, yes, I mean by loading your ST card with ecash you get a decent discount on whatever you purchase, I'm surprised if anyone has had this pass them by.

You can pay cash at the kiosks and they will put the 10% cashback onto your smartcard

I wish it were amazing, but it's just NSC.

Come on here, complaining about the cost and value of something, all the while not taking advantage of a 10% discount.

£3.90 represents good value for a quality product, when gauged against the price and quality of 'arena' food.

£3.51 is a bloody steal.

I accept 100% that the £3.90 is my fault as I keep forgetting to load the card, as I have previously said, but was somewhat sutrprised by the apparent insinuation on here that it was a 10 % discount just on production of the card. So how does the following work:

I did not know that either. I thought you had to pay with e-cash ( not cash) to get the discount.

Oh and for the record I now stand 100% by the conversation that started this thread.
The only caveat being, it may have only been lounge specific.

Can somebody give a definitive answer on this aspect of getting the discount put back on to your card/season ticket as this hasn't been made clear if it is true what upthealbion10970 is saying, and I have no reason to dispute him.

Can't you just stick a tenner on your card.
It takes less than a minute to do, once set up.

Paying cash and then presenting your card for a cash back that the cashier may or may not know about, isn't going to do much for the queue.
Plus if you don't use your card what are you going to do with the 39p being credited to it.

Yes I can if I remember, which I will do in a minute, but it is the point that I have spent an average £20 per home game since the opening of The Amex and the amount that could have been cvreited back would be have been quite a lot, entirely due to my own fault.

A tenner won't cover it then

Just had an e mail back from Sally Townend at the club in which she says that the 10% discount is only given if payment made on the e card and not cash with a retrospective discount. So that clears that up.

I told you a few days ago on this thread.

You DON'T need money on your card to get the 10% off.

Pay with a fiver and give them your card for the 10% credit. Been doing it since Doncaster.
