Everything is always available in the ESL.
The improvements over the last year of service, have been great.

I really don't recognise the comments of 'sold out', 'cold', 'wrong pie'.

Hopefully the Chilli Pies are in the '6 game plan' too?

I've seen these advertised, but I've never actually seen them on sale. Do they sell about 50 of these pies a game?

The man has got his fingers in too many.......!
All this nonsense about making very small returns from pie sales. Oh yeah. Who is he trying to kid. I am no expert but would guess that Piglets Pantry produce these pies for about 50p and sell to the club for about £1.50 ( very broadstroke figures I know )Piglets then have to pay all their costs out of that margin. The selling price at the Amex is £3.90.
We have already seen the attractive bespoke blue packaging replaced by an ' off the shelf ' thinner, basic ( available in all Cash and Carry's and catering wholesalers ) version. Much cheaper and nastier and improving profit margin. The original packaging had the pie varieties detailed on the box, your variety had a tick against it. All that identity has gone.
The biggest mistake any business can make is to launch a brand, make it an attractive proposition to buy and then, as soon as it is established, look for any means possible to start cutting costs. Downgrading packaging, sourcing cheaper raw material, changing varieties etc....it is called ' getting too greedy, too quickly '
Whilst I am ranting on about pies....what about the following.
1) What happened to the mobile food-carts on the concourses, where you could get a drink and a hot-dog.
2) Tea and Coffee now comes in those awful vending type cups, where the powdered milk is in the bottom of the cup, under a foil seal. It has obviously been decided that it is too expensive putting out mini pots of milk so we can decide how much milk we want. Tough titty if the appalling and miniscule powder portion isn't enough and the drink is too strong for you.
Sorry folks....back to Balti Pies.

I've seen it all now, this fella is moaning about the box his pie comes in.....................................you really need to get a life. To my knowledge most people bin the boxes once the pie is eaten.......................unbelievable!!!

I prefer my balti on a plate with a nan bread not in a pie, it has no place in a pie, I hope they do can it. It's Chicken & Ham all the way, lovely & traditional.

It is scraping the barrel complaining about the box rather! I would happy eat my pie served just wrapped in a bit of kitchen towel, as TootonSeagull says it's all just thrown away!

You should have the soles of your feet whipped for this!!!!
That's a little harsh, but they'll certainly be a shoeing tomorrow morning, so I guess I couldn't complain.

My only defence is it was all said with the best of intentions, with what was thought to be a reliable retelling.

I guess it's nice that 'pie news' still causes a stir.

To be fair it all adds up with the CMS to Leeds rumour. If his favourite Baltis are no longer available then he wants to be nearer Sheffield.

Chilli pies are non existant in the WSU. They always seem to be low/sold out of the Balti pie too, pretty poor service.

I took a wander around to the east stand lower after the game... Plenty of chilli & balti pies there fresh out of the oven.

Just have to avoid all the kids playing football with whatever they can kick

Balti pie sold out on Sat (just empty boxes on show) and never seen the chilli pie either! If I had seen either then I would have purchased, I feel left out now :(

Has anybody ever considered fazing out all of these pies and reverting to more traditional pies at an affordable price that during these harsh economic times more people could afford and thus resulting in more sales. I am probably biased because I would never buy one of the pies as I do not consider them to be value for money as I do not consider the quality to be sufficient to warrant the price charged.
