Are conspiracy theories destroying democracy?

"I've been involved with this since 2001". Jesus. Interesting use of the word "involved". Interesting little insight into the believer's psychology again. Involved?

You mean he's been drooling over this utter bullshit on the web for almost 13 years??? Hells bells. I'm literally stunned.

:lolol: I will give you an example of what you do.

Intriguing yes but you cant pigeonhole humanity. The difference between a conspiracy theorist and a non conspiracy theorist is that the theorist is actually asking questions where they see inconsistencies.

Do you see what you did there? You said you can't pigeonhole humanity, and then immediately after, you pigeonholed humanity.

It seems to me that non-CT believers will not accept anything that a CT'er will say and their idea is the truth but they say it is the other way around! A lot of what CTers say may not be proven but it does give you things to think about, which you can then disagree with, agree with, or sit on the fence waiting for more conclusive proof either way.

the trouble is, most of what the CTers say is based on false information. they will claim authority from un-authoritative and non-expert sources, and build up a story that has to incorporate a massive interlinking of one CT to a dozen others - ie this event is part of a series of events going back 100 years all to the same purpose. their version is usually self contradicted within a few posts, as highlighted at the top of the page, when challenged to such flaws they'll deny there's any contradiction and change tack, moving in a new direction, or even subject. other than that they make perfect sence - there usually is somthing suspicious.

I believe that you have been fooled for the last twelve years, but I don't believe you have been to New York and Afghanistan. I may think differently if you posted under your real name but if you expect me to believe some random no named person on NSC you really are having a larf.
That sums it up for me as well. Really, does Goldstone 76 really believe it was an inside job ? I've already posted about the Pentagon and that it took a huge amount of Americas defense system out. So let's concetrate on the Twin Towers, not only did it take out a major trade centre with the loss of nearly 3,000 lives, seriously damage 7 buildings around the TT but there fears that the River Hudson would break through (it's wall as the base of the Towers supported the wall) and flood the subway,as it was the subway itself was shut down for weeks for strenghtening causing chaos to those commuters. Had that happened the death toll would've been much higher. As I said before Goldstone 76,you're entitled to your view....even if your theories do not add up.

Yep, the Yanks couldn't have pulled off such a massive operation involving thousands of conspirators even if they wanted to. Even when they got Bin Laden they crashed one of the two helicopters.

If America wanted an excuse to go to war, just one remote controlled plane into one tower would have done, and they wouldn't have needed a controlled demolition as well.

Some people give America too much credit and these fanciful conspiracy theories detract from what is really going on in the world, so in the search for the truth all they accomplish is shooting themselves in the foot by spreading the wrong message.

The truth is the facts about 911 are more interesting than the fiction.

I bloody love this stuff........

Beef Bourguignon

Luxurious beef bourguignon, or beef Burgundy, with beef chuck, carrots, pearl onions, mushrooms, and coated with a deeply flavored, silky sauce.

Yield: Serves 6-8

Ingredients

6-8 ounces salt pork, cut into 1/2 inch chunks
4 Tbsp unsalted butter, divided
4 pounds trimmed beef chuck, cut into 2-inch cubes, patted dry with paper towels
Salt
10-12 shallots, chopped, about 2 cups
2 large, peeled carrots, 1 chopped, 1 cut into 2-inch chunks
4-5 garlic cloves, chopped
1 ounce of dried porcini mushrooms (optional)
2 Tbsp tomato paste
1/2 cup brandy, plus 2 Tbsp
1 bottle Pinot Noir, or other red wine
Beef Stock (low sodium), at least 1 cup, quite easily more
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
2 bay leaves
2 teaspoons dried thyme
4 whole cloves
24 pearl onions, fresh or frozen
1 lb fresh shiitake, cremini or button mushrooms
Beurre manie: 3 Tbsp flour blended with 2 Tbsp butter

Method

1 If you are using them, pour 1 cup of boiling water over the dried porcini mushrooms and allow them to rehydrate for 30 minutes. Remove the mushrooms and chop coarsely. Pour the soaking water through a paper towel (to remove any dirt or debris) into a bowl and set aside.

2 In a large sauté pan, pour enough water to cover the bottom by about 1/8 inch. Over medium heat, cook the salt pork in the pan until the water evaporates, stirring occasionally. Once the water is gone, reduce the heat to medium-low, and continue to cook the salt pork until much of the fat has rendered out of it. Add a tablespoon of butter and continue to cook the salt pork unti the pieces are browned and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove the salt pork pieces to a large Dutch oven or other large, thick-bottomed, lidded pot.

3 Increase the heat to medium-high. Working in batches so that you do not crowd the pan, brown the beef. Leaving space around each piece of sizzling meat ensures that it browns and does not steam. Don't move the pieces of beef in the pan until they get a good sear, then turn them so they can get browned on another side. Take your time. This will take 15-25 minutes, depending on how large a sauté pan you have. Once browned, remove the beef from the sauté pan and place in the Dutch oven with the salt pork.

4 When all the beef has browned, add the shallots, the one chopped carrot, and the chopped porcini mushrooms if using. Stir in the pot to remove any browned, stuck-on bits in the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes, then add the garlic and the tomato paste. Cook another 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently.

5 Add the brandy and stir to combine. Boil down by half, then add the strained mushroom soaking water (if using). Scrape any remaining browned bits off the bottom of the sauté pan and pour the contents of the pan into the Dutch oven.

6 To the Dutch oven add the bottle of wine and enough beef stock to almost cover the beef; the beef pieces should be barely poking up out of the liquid. Add the parsley, bay leaves, thyme and cloves. Cover and bring to a bare simmer. After 1 hour, add the second carrot, peeled and cut into chunks of 1-2 inches. Continue cooking for another hour, or until the beef is tender.

7 Meanwhile, trim the tough stems off the shiitake, cremini, or button mushrooms and slice into 2-3 large pieces; small mushrooms leave whole. Prepare the pearl onions. Boil them in their skins for 4-5 minutes. Drain and submerge in a bowl of ice water. Slice the tips and root ends off the onions and slip off the outer skins.

8 When the beef is tender, use tongs to remove all the beef and the chunks of carrots; set aside in a bowl. Strain the contents of the Dutch oven through a fine-meshed sieve set over a medium pot. This will be the sauce. Boil the sauce down, tasting frequently. If it begins to taste too salty, turn off the heat. Otherwise, boil down until you have about 3 cups. Turn off the heat.

9 Heat a large sauté pan over high heat and add the mushrooms. Dry sauté the mushrooms over high heat, shaking the pan and stirring often, until they release their water, about 4-5 minutes. Add the pearl onions and 3 tablespoons butter and toss to combine. Sprinkle salt over the onions and mushrooms. Sauté until the onions begin to brown. Remove from heat.

10 Returning to the sauce, reduce the heat to medium and whisk in the beurre manie. Whisk in a third of the paste, wait for it to incorporate into the sauce, then add another third of the beurre manie, and so on. Do not let this boil, but allow it to simmer very gently for 2-3 minutes. Stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of brandy. Taste for salt and add some if needed.

11 To serve, coat the beef, carrots, mushrooms and pearl onions with the sauce and serve with potatoes, egg noodles or lots of crusty bread.

911 CT's have always said that no steel framed building in history has ever collapsed due to fire, however the video below shows that this is not fact.

I'd add something to that point. Until 9/11 no one had tried flying a just fuelled passenger jet into the 92nd floor of a 120 storey office building full of highly flammable office products and 1970s stud walling.

We now KNOW its possible to bring down a skyscraper with a well aimed 737.

And the 100,000s of New Yorkers physically at the event witnessing a plane hitting the second building?

Just a minor point, I know.

I've had many a well informed, interesting conversation with many intelligent people about the subject. I won't debate with you as you are neither intelligent or well informed. I've already stated quite clearly I'm not debating 9/11 or any other conspiricies with the likes of you. Yet another example of you just not reading anything properly. Get some help mate.

How about taking some time out to listen to these actual experts with qualifications?! These are engineers and architects all of whom have designed and been involved with building skyscrapers and large buildings. These are not nutters or kids .. these are respected specialists. Watch the documentary then come back and actually have a debate rather than kneejerk sarcastic and childish rants. To date you have not said anything of any value other than the official version is correct and there is nothing wrong with the Bush government version of the events that took place that day.

Lets see what you make of this.. Actual real experts talk about the Towers and Building 7.

Heres an Affadavit of Firefighters/police testimonials.. Note how many of them state that they heard, saw and witnessed explosions.. Note at the end that Aaron Brown of CNN, Peter Jennings of ABC, Dan Rather of CBS, and other reporters from Fox News, and MSNBC all reported on explosions that took place in the Towers before their collapses.

http://www.centerfor911justice.org/news/Filed=20Testimonials=20=20fire fighters.pdf

Heres an official Affadavit from David Griffin ..

http://www.centerfor911justice.org/news/Filed=20Griffin=20Affidavit.pd f

April Gallop was working in the Pentagon on 9/11. The video is about her experience that day. You will hear her state there was no evidence of any plane or debris to be seen. The official version is that the plane vaporised.

April Gallop filed a lawsuit against Cheney/Rumsfeld etc. A motion to disqualify the sitting judge Gallop vs Cheney (on the basis that Judge Walker had connections to the defendants) was dismissed pre trial.

http://www.centerfor911justice.org/news/Notice=20of=20Motion=20To=20Di squalify.Affirmation.pdf

Gallop v. Cheney.. Below is the 2nd circuit decision which went against the defendants Cheney/Rumsfeld

http://www.centerfor911justice.org/news/decision%202nd%20circuit.pdf

Gallop's reply to Cheney/Rumsfeld

http://www.centerfor911justice.org/news/APPELLANT=20REPLY=20BRIEF.pdf

Heres something you cannot argue with.. Flight 77's flight recorder information as supplied by the government is torn apart by a pilot. It was impossible for the plane to have crashed into the Pentagon based on the supplied flight recorder information.

For every person who questions the validity of what happened on 911 there are others that hold onto the official version. The fact is also that the secret services are also involved with upholding the official version and this includes threat.

Nibble,

Anyone looking at alternative research due to the nonsense coming out of corporate media seems to rattle you.

Replace the word conspiracy theory for alternative research and you may find things different.

Or carry on believing this footage isn't fake and you have entered a some crazy bend of physics (disregard the text on this animated gif, just watch how the building behaves).

Over-Under-Puffball.gif

Any chance you could post another animated gif with a real airliner hitting a real skyscraper so I can judge how the building should have reacted?

Are you also saying that there were no planes?

yes, that is exactly what is being proposed. you are blindly following the government and media in not accepting this.
