Yes, because Bradford and Tipton are economic power houses.

So, now im a fool? lol..... for stating what are actually facts?....

We are told that our troops are in Afghanistan, to stop the taliban being used as a base
for terrorists, and them coming to the UK. Most of Afghanistan is under Taliban control,
and ive not seen hundreds of terrorists showing up in England or Europe.
If muslims are leaving the UK to go and fight in Afghanistan, that sort of makes that
theory look a bit stupid. Im sure some do, but im equally sure its not that many.
I realise that soldiers, and ex soldiers need to have a coherent reason why they are laying
down their lives. Even if its bollocks.

Do you think British troops should be in Afghanistan Bushy? If you do, why?

So you're trying to tell me that social deprivation is so bad in tipton and bradford that you can understand the compulsion of young "british" muslim men to fly 600 miles to fight their "compatriots" ?

I can believe it...I dont agree with it, but I can believe it, and to a point understand it, yes,.....I think you want to change the discussion into something else Bushy...ie the muslims are trying to take over our country, they want to fight us, Islam is evil blah blah blah

Back to the original question of the thread....what is the point of the war in Afghanistan?

The Soviet empire was brought to it's knees for economic reasons. They over stretched themselves, They tried to invade and conquer Afghanistan, and they failed and went broke.

The Anglo-American empire is going the same way. Brought to our knees, not by the might of some powerful nemesis, but by the weight of our own arrogance and greed.

The point now is, I believe if Afghanistan goes then our great "ally" and nuclear power in the region , pakistan will go as well, as for me trying to change the discussion into something else ? all the time the failed multiculturalism model is forced down our f***ing throats , we will always have different groups of immigrants whose first loyalty is to their country of origin , i really couldnt give a f*** if they blame poverty or social deprivation , immigrants come "here" because its better than "there", "they" are a f***ing sight better off because "they" are "here", if they disagree, why not f*** off to a country more suited to a lifestyle that suits them instead of trying to change things in a country that doesnt

Khwarezmia, modern day afghanstan was only a part of it , happy to help.

That's your apology I take it?
Or a goalpost movement attempting to squeeze some semblence of rightness to your mistake?

Fyi Alexander the Great was thousands of years BC, and Ghengis was done by around 1227.
At no time for either was it called "Afghanistan", as the area could only go back with any hint of that name to the early 1700's.

Do you have anything to do with the modern name 'Brightonpara' by any chance?
Since having his or her credibility as a celebrated aerial earwitness undermined, their brief history has ended and you have taken up the baton with similarly shakeable fervour.

Care to comment on that?

Apology ?? what for ?? how about bollocks :lolol: the area that is modern day afghanistan has been conquered by both the historical figures that we are talking about to deny this is ridiculous, its like saying the romans never conquered turkey because it was part of thrace , you're thrashing trying desparately to rescue an argument that has been exposed as an absolute pile of bollocks , as for am i brighton para ? no i'm not , and am happy fpr the moderators to compare IP addresses , but i'd love to know where his "credibility" as a witness has been "undermined" , oh, it hasnt.

Wow, that could come straight out of the EDL Manifesto.

So we should be convinced by the CIA that oil wars and religious conflict is right and good, because Bob Marley, Jon Lennon and all hippies are dreamers who hope one day we'll join them.
The Audacity of Hope (borrowing from Obama there) crushed by your simplistic xenophobia.

Pakistan?...It was the SIS from Pakistan that encouraged and armed the Taliban, and they have to live with the Taliban on their doorstep, after the western nations leave, and the Taliban win the civil war that will ensue.

'immigrants come "here" because its better than "there", "they" are a f***ing sight better off because "they" are "here", if they disagree, why not f*** off to a country more suited to a lifestyle that suits them instead of trying to change things in a country that doesnt'

According to you, many did, and they are now in Afghanistan fighting, and youre still not happy.

Erm... f*** off you dickhead. I showed you up for your insistence on what Lord Bracknell had said and you got bitten by your own dog.
Twat, and proven as one.

Another duplicate post courtesy a browser going back.

But anyway, this thread has some seriously bogus 'issues' from Brightonpara who seems to think tats and accents sway opinion, and the desperate EDL jabber from bullsh.... i mean bushy.

It sounds like you are unhappy 'here'. Perhaps you should go to a country more suited to a lifestyle that suits you. Who says the multicultural model is being forced down our throats? You, obviously, but are others allowed to disagree with you?
