I respect you as a player, but that is bollocks.

What I though was out of order was the bloke having a pop at Zesh and Jake when the players were warming up. If you really think they are wankers mate, don't turn up.

I obviously did not see this as I was still in the sportsman but if this happened then I am sorry but it is totally disgusting. FFS people we are supporters, yes we are angry at the result but at the end of the day our job is to support ( which means get behind the team by the way ) our team and try and get them going not to constantly berate players to the point where they think f*** it why should I bother nymore. I have played football and conceeding a goal hurts even when you are 10-0 up at the time so saying players do not feel it when they lose is utter bollocks on all counts. Adam reacted badly yes but when he grabbed his badge he did it with pride and it looked like he had a tear in his eye that people were saying he was not proud to wear the stripes.
Well done Guy for putting your feelings in words about this matter. I thought we were poor today but how many times in the history of the Albion have we beaten piss poor sides. I do not know what it is about our team as we nearly always do well against good teams but play shit against rubbish sides. We always have and we always wil. That is part of supporting such a great club and if you are not used to it by now you may as wel give up as it will always be the same whether in the conference or the premier league.

A lot of us have been supporting this team for decades and some of the dire crap that has been served up in the last few games at home has been disgraceful.

I have been supporting the Albion for decades too, and crap results have ALWAYS been part of the deal, and always will be.

I don't for one moment think that the players deliberately set out to lose a game. 15 of them are out of a job come 1 July, unless the club renews contracts. Many have families to whom they are responsible, and the thought of losing their income must be at the back of their minds.

This season has been poor, but what exactly do you expect with a team that costs as follows

Flinder:Loan
El Abd: Youth team
Butters: Free
Rehman: Loan
Rents: Youth team
Cox: Youth team
Fraser: Youth team
Bertin: Free
Loft: Free
Robinson: Youth team
Savage: Free

It understandably pisses people off to pay £400 for a ST or £23 to watch, when clearly that money is not being invested in the squad, but is spent fighting the enemies of the club, who are rubbing their hands together with glee at every defeat on the pitch, and the civil war that is taking place between fans and fans, and now fans and players/manager/directors

I,m sure the players are gutted.....but can,t help but feel supporters have a different perspective on what,s "gutting" to the players. With regards to the "livelyhood"......does the team feel Adam El Abd,s response at the end of the game was acceptable....??....and should he continue to work for his "livelyhood" at a club where he calls the supporters "F******g C**t,s"...?

Adam El Abd was wrong to do what he did - professional footballers should not gesture in that manner to supporters. Its wrong.

Well, we wouldn't be fighting with each other if we won some home games... actually, I take that back some Brighton fans are miserable f*cks and would (and did) moan if we were winning the division!!

Calm down everyone, its unlikely that we'll get relegated, and we should have some good news about the stadium before long.

:)

They probably do have a different perspective on what's gutting. I obviously know what HE thinks and how he feels after a defeat, and I can see what you lot are saying too. Cant really comment on anyone else, sorry.

Do you think that it's right that people should abuse some of the players before KO though?

Now I haven't read the entire thread so do excuse me if i touch on points already covered but the standard of football i personally have seen this season, is mediocre. It's not brilliant by any stretch of the imagination but it's solid stuff. Due to financial constraints and University i rarely get to home games but ive been to 4 or 5 at home this season.
Now what El-Abd did was inexcusable. The fans have their right, as paying spectators to tell the players and management what they thought of the game. Highlighting aspects of the game that was poor from a spectators point of view can only be a good thing. If the players dont know what the fans think then surely they assume everything is rosy and they can carry on playing as it is?
For El-Abd to react in the way he did was silly but in all fairness, the players are trying the best they can. I don't think I can honestly say (from the games ive been to) that the players dont try. It's just some of them aren't good enough to be playing this standard of football. They try their hardest to get the right results for the club on a extremely limited budget. If all the fans got behind the players then maybe results could turn around. I'm not saying fans should stop shouting things out from the crowd but give them some credit.
The players and management deserve alot of credit for all the work they have done and they dont deserve to be insulted by fans on NSC or at games themselves.
Here's me looking forward to a new start next season:albion:

I do not think that it is right to abuse the players at any time before during or after the game as nobody sets out to havea bad game but it does happen.

I feel that the players look to the manager for guidance and support and do not appear to be getting much guidance.

A 7 year old friend of my grandsons picked out our faults today. Why didnt Wilkins and White instead of going on the radio as if everything in the garden is rosy.
