why do you continue to have a pop - all i said was people renewed in april - also i thought season ticket were around 4000

They were 3500 and I got a letter in May after the cheap cut off date giving me another 3 weeks to renew and get the old special terms. I did and Adams has added 500 at least to the sth's and probably anothr 1000 plus to the casuals. Gates should be 6500 + instead of 4500 - 5000 under Wilkins. 2000 extra people x £ 20 = £ 40000 a game x 23 = £ 920 000 a season.

And the football is likely to be much more palatable and exciting than the dross Wilkins served up for 2 years.

I've still to get mine. Still, well done club I suppose, however I doubt attendances will be THAT much higher than the ST level, with only a few hundred kids in the family stand paying on a game by game basis.

Not having a pop just stating that apparently many did not renew in April and that was one of the reasons that Dean Wilkins got the sack as there appearred to be a lack of interest from the STH. As soon as MA is appointed rightly or wrong the sales started going up again with renewed confidence.

I just am not sure the football will be all that exciting.

My memory of Adams was of a pragmatist, who built his sides from the back, but certainly his first full season the football was not that great. More often than not 5 at the back and early balls forward.

The second season we did play good stuff, but then the squad by then was just better than anything else in that league and with Zamora up front we were always going to score goals.

However since he has left us, his sides have been fairly dour and journeyman like.

i thought that most people would have renewed them back in April - i would think manager in that case would not make any difference

Most, but not all.

Kevin Brown said not all people have re-newed yet. Let's take some nominal figures here.

3,500 season tickets, of whom, say, 90% renewed. That would make 3,150 renewed season tickets, implying at least 900 new season ticket holders.

Edit: Just seen TCB's post. 3,069 season tickets, with a 90% retention would mean about 1,300 new or returning season ticket holders.

BTW. I account for three of the NEW season ticket sales, and would like to categorically point out that my decision was not at all based on MA's return.

I can account for 2 more STs just purchased on the phone.

We initially did it online when they were first announced, but for some reason our application was not received/processed. Fella was most apologetic, and sorted it out very efficiently on the phone.

So if you did it online previously, it might be worth checking that they did receive your application.
