Why hasn't he tried 5 at the back in the two friendlys so far then???

Errr, because he is giving everyone a run out at present and will probably try different formations in other friendlies.

I really would not overly worry yourself with who plays in these games, maybe the Charlton and Ipswich games will give people a clearer idea of who will play and how.

To be honest i think the Ipswich game will be the starting 11 first choice bar injuries.

Still reckon we will play 4-4-2 though

By winning that 1 game but who was the manager who got us in that position of needing a result with our very poor away form.

??? No! He took over when we were about 11 points adrift! It wasn't just that Hereford game!!! He overturned a MASSIVE deficit!!

Granted, he lost a lot the following season, but his record in the Hereford season was incredible.

Yes they would have had to keep him on the same wages until the end of his contract as a manager

Then they could have dropped them

OR paid his manager contract off and re-employ him on the coaches wages

This subject was discussed on talk sport a while ago and it was mentioned by an ex manager ( cant remember who it was though ) that most managers at lower league level have a settlement clause written into they're contracts in the event of them getting sacked. The way it was talked about it seems rare for a sacked manager to have his contract paid up in full.

Maybe, but the fact we are slightly over loaded with centre backs (6 fit and one possibly coming back), means it maybe a case of using 3 of those in a back three. As I said, in Adams first season he preferred that formations.

However it maybe that one will be sold to finance the squad additions.

Our away form was poor as the club was devoid of talent after years of neglect and running the team into the ground. I really can’t see how our away form can be used as a stick to beat Gritt as we were 11/12 points adrift at Christmas. Possibly one of the greatest escapes of all time, whilst the club was on the verge of extinction.

In rehab
Not to mention that four of the last seven home games were played against teams who finished in the top seven. Pretty good going for a rookie manager and a team low on confidence.
Just read your sigs Paul. How can you be out looking for Virgo when your always on here :jester:
