Both the Greek and Saudi windows close today, so that will presumably end the Mitoma speculation and the Tzimas speculation (Isn't he actually owned by AEK?).
The closure of the window only applies to buying though doesn't it? Wasn't that one of the issues with the PL one year when either European or the Saudi window was open later than the PL window, ie teams were susceptible to losing players without then being able to replace them?

Oh, I see. So just Mitoma today. Although neither really look likely.

Hope we’ve hauled in a few defenders this window ☹️

Am I losing my mind or has the recruitment gone a bit awry recently?
Fair to say I’ve had enough of this transfer window.
I think the season has to be honest. We were top at the start and have been slowly declining. I haven't enjoyed this season apart from a couple of results. Our season hinges on the cup as I don't believe we will finish in europe.

“Brighton & Hove Albion are set to complete the signing of South Korean prospect Yun Do-young. They have met an undisclosed release clause in the 18-year-old winger’s contract with Daejoon Hana and he will move to England next season.”

Funnily enough I was thinking this earlier. Other than Rutter and quite recently Minteh our summer transfers have been relatively underwhelming, the football we’ve played has been a bit odd at times, the squad feels terribly imbalanced, it feels like the season is already bumbling towards a mediocre conclusion.

Seems to be a bit scattergun I agree. Almost like lets sign 20 young lads with potential and hope 4 or 5 of them stick.

Are we losing focus with regard to players who could realistically become 1st team regulars?

Next summer we have Sarmiento, Enciso, and Buonanotte returning plus Coxier-Duberry, Osman, and Yalcouye - before we even factor in going for Watson from Sunderland, the Korean lad Yon Do-young, Eiran Cashin, and any other potential signings that could be made next summer. That's 9 lads who are not really in the frame at the moment.

My worry is Quantity over Quality, thus leading to little or NO consistency in team selection or results.

Well, I’d say Rutter and Minteh are pretty decent recent signings. Kadioglu is also deffo up there, plus probably Wieffer. I’m still not convinced by O’Riley….but obviously early days. Pretty sure Yalcoue will also turn out to be have been a great signing, plus the guy from Arsenal (forget his name). I think most of the frustration is injury related.

I have highlighted Rutter and Minteh in a subsequent post. Perhaps you’re right, maybe my frustration is with the injuries and it’s just coincidence that it’s mostly the new guys who are consistently missing.
