Ticket Office this morning - What a Joke

I remember buying about 8 tickets for the play-off final at Cardiff and having to provide a list of everyone's name and address in order to be able to purchase them. Suggests that providing a name and address for every match ticket could be a legal requirement.

Ticket Office this morning - What a Joke

It's not like those seats you wanted have only just gone on sale is it? I'm pretty sure the Yeovil tickets have been on sale for a while.

Ticket Office this morning - What a Joke

Funny that isn't it, the ticket office being busy on a Monday morning when we are top of the table having just recorded an impressive away victory.

    Yup. Midday?

Anyone a Member Of Check A Trade?

I strongly disagree with this. Asking your friends to recommend someone and they will usually just give you the name of the person they last used unless they were completely lamentable. And what if you can't get a recommendation or don't know anyone to ask? I agree Checkatrade and similar...

Getting the train when Falmer opens

The platform at Falmer is much longer than 4 coaches. It can certainly take 6 coaches and possibly 8.

    8000 plus crowd on Saturday?

North stand and family stand tickets can't be bought online so it doesn't necessarily mean they have sold out. The other stands are selling better than normal so I think we'll certainly get our biggest crowd of the season and probably top 7000.

Jack Straw's Amex Com. Stad. Watch No. 88 (17/9/10).

Another superb set! That stadium is so beautiful I want to cry.

    Jimi Hendrix

Red House is one of my favourites Hendrix songs, but I don't think the Woodstock version is his best live one. Didn't he break a string half way through but carry on anyway? I think San Diego is probably his best live version of Red House. Best studio version for me has to be "Electric Church...

Why is Falmer not part of 2018 World Cup Bid?

Not quite correct. The stadium itself has been approved. The application for a supermarket on the Ashton Gate site has been turned down. Whether this derails the whole project remains to be seen. I'd imagine Sainsbury's will just submit a slightly smaller application which might have more chance...

Jack Straw's Amex Com. Stad. Watch No. 84 (20/8/10).

Once again another superb set. For me (and many others I'm sure) seeing your photos every Friday is something I always look forward to. Once the stadium is finished have you ever thought of publishing a book containing the best shots? It would be a fascinating record of possibly the most...

The Dyke (formely The Dyke Inn)

Went there on Sunday for a roast with Mrs Uter and Miss Uter. Really liked what they have done with it. I went for the Pork and Mrs Uter went for the Chicken. Sorry to say my pork was very dry, but the chicken was excellent. The supposed half size childrens portion was almost as big as the...

The 1901 to Falmer- An affordable opportunity for many.

I never thought the day would come when I felt a bit sorry for HB&B, but some of the feedback here is a bit scathing! Anyway, last month the club said they would sell out of 1901 memberships in 8 weeks at the current rate. Did they tell you how many are left now when you went on Tuesday Tim?

So, you now run the FA, what will you do?

For me the problem is the lack of technical ability of English players. The FA need to look at other more successful nations and see how they develop their young players and then copy them. Everyone always seems to admire the Brazilians, but there seems to be a preconception that they are just...

    Germany out in group stage?

Exactly. By my reckoning in the 11 world cups since 1966 Germany have progressed further than England ... 11 times. That's right. Every single bloody one. This cannot be down to chance. The writing has been on the wall for years. We have had over 40 years to identify the reasons other nations...

The answer in in the players contracts ..

I'm inclined to agree with this comment. Until I see convincing statistical evidence to support this then I'll be, well, unconvinced. Pele used to play a huge number of games a season (usually around 70, but in 1959 he played 103 times for Santos and Brazil), although admittedly many were...
