I was all set to post an "I'll get my coat comment", but I've reread it and I still can't see this. Maybe we are reading different stories or I need some new specs.
I couldn't see anything in the article that said a fox was definitely to blame. Even if it was a fox the fact this has made the news demonstrates how rare such attacks are doesn't it?
When I attended the presentation we asked if there was a dress code. They said what we were wearing would be fine. For the record I was wearing jeans, t-shirt and trainers. Replica shirts would not be permitted except possibly for children.
The no football shirts rule didn't put me off as I...
I think anyone from HH up getting the train would be much better advised to go via Lewes on the way home as the bulk of the trains users will be going the other way and you won't have to queue anywhere near as long at Falmer. Depends on the connections too I guess.
Fair enough. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to think that as much as 70% of people wanted to use public transport but I just think there is a sizable proportion of the general public who have car use so ingrained in their psyche that they would drive around in their houses if only they could.
Granted, but if it is policed as poorly as Withdean people will abuse this. And how far will this extend? The top end of Moulsecoomb and Coldean both lie under a mile from the stadium. I am sure plenty of people will choose to park here and walk to Falmer.
Interesting to hear that there is ample street parking around Withdean considering that parking is restricted on matchdays. I'd say that this is evidence that people are determined to use their cars come what may. I don't think these people that flout the restrictions are going to decide that...
Because this would mean that a higher proportion of people would travel to and from Falmer by train than any other stadium in the country. It simply isn't realistic to expect this level of use. There is a station fairly near Withdean and there was one near the Goldstone, but neither of these...
Falmer is also well served by buses, certainly much more so than Withdean. I think there are around 15 services in the hour after a match finishes, even more if people are prepared to walk a little and then catche the bus. Plus I'm sure extra buses will be layed on.
A project office response from 6th Dec last year suggests there will be extra trains running. Looking at the current timetable and considering the contraints discussed in this thread I can't quite see how they can be squeezed in myself.
"There are no plans to lengthen the platforms. The train...
The most galling sight for fans waiting at the station after the match could be the sight of the 15:32 from Ashford going through Falmer at about quarter past five on a Saturday and not stopping.
I guess the plan could be to have this service make an additional stop at Falmer, but I can foresee...
Only 8 teams in the finals. Every team had to qualify I think.
England are now U17 European Champions, U19 European runners up and U21 European runners up.
Not too many around on a Monday. I think the Ancient Mariner in Poets Corner has one every other Monday. Done this one a few times in the past, but not for a while. It's ok.
But that's assuming it's his decision to make which would only be the case if the application to increase capacity went to yet another public inquiry wouldn't it?
Given that it appears that the club appear to have been shrewd enough to choose a design that allows for significant increase in...
