    Average home gates next year.

And that's about 250,000 more than the glory days of the late 1970s when we got our best crowds. The potential is even greater now.

    Average home gates next year.

Might vary slightly depending on your source, but mine is: 24745. Our best ever was 77-78: 25265. With an expanded Falmer I think it's possible we could break this record in the next few years.

    Average home gates next year.

It's true. We were also 12th best supported in 77-78 despite being in division 2.

I've no idea, but the question was about the length of the platform at Falmer. There are many limiting factors on the Brighton/Lewes line which have been discussed to death on other threads, but the length of the platform at Falmer isn't one of them. It's a misconception. If we ever expand I...

I think midweek games will present more challenges. I expect for large midweek crowds (which is increasingly looking like every midweek game) a lot of very very naughty people will park in Coldean and Moulsecoomb and walk in from there. But remember, these people are naughty.

I don't know why everybody is so focused on the train. The club are obliged to provide 2200 car parking spaces within a certain distance of the ground. If the club put measures in to achieve high vehicle occupancy then this has the realistic potential to provide transport for nearly a third of...

What do you consider to be a short platform? The platform at Falmer is long enough for 8 carriage trains to open the doors on 7 carriages.

Another interesting thing they did at Ibrox was to lower the pitch which allowed 3 or 4 extra rows of seating in to increase capacity by 2 or 3 thousand.

Norwich were relegated 2 seasons ago. Didn't seem to affect their crowds too much. In fact the last two seasons following a relegation they have shown an increase. 2010/11 25225 2009/10 24657 (promoted) 2008/09 24542 (relegated) 2007/08 24527 2006/07 24544 2005/06 24952 2004/05 23944 (relegated)
