Easy to be wise with hindsight isn't it. 5000 is over twice as many as they normally print and they usually end up destroying some. The more they print the bigger the risk of making a loss, especially seeing at this issue is bigger than normal. Hardly "pathetic".

I will probably buy it regardless of price, but I reckon £20 - £25 might be acceptable to most people (assuming hardback, full colour, gloss etc). Obviously difficult to say without knowing how big and how many pages it's going to be. As soon as you hit £30 it seems quite a lot for a book.

I think an 8 car train has a seated capacity of approx 500. Not sure how many can be crammed in standing, but I'd guess a similar number again making around 1000 in total. So this train will add around 2000 extra spaces minus the normal usage (assuming it makes the return journey).
